The Hollywood Ghosts Of The Legendary Viper Room (S6 E4) - 8.0

Ryan and Shane visit The Viper Room to try to talk with any ghosts that might dwell there, including actor River Phoenix who famously and tragically died outside of the club. The two mention that it's very early in the morning and it shows as they're even more out of it than usual, which makes for some great laughs as they realize they're dressed similarly to The Wet Bandits from Home Alone and try to dance in the club. It's an episode that's more funny than scary, but still has a lot of history connected to the location.

The Unexplained Phoenix Lights Phenomenon (S4 E5) - 8.1

Ryan discusses the Phoenix Lights case when hundreds of people claimed to see odd lights in the sky near Phoenix, Arizona. There's grainy footage of the unexplained event and the two discuss possible theories that could explain the odd phenomenon including UFOs and aliens. Ryan and Shane don't travel to the location, but it's still an engaging episode and Shane is more open to the possibility of aliens than he is to the possibility of ghosts.

3 Horrifying Cases Of Ghosts And Demons (S1 E3) - 8.1

In a creepy episode of Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural, Ryan and Shane visit three different haunted locations in a nostalgic earlier episode as they try to look for evidence of any supernatural presence. They go to the Winchester Mystery House where Mary Winchester kept building increasingly odd additions to the house and ghosts are said to lurk within. They go to the creepy Island of the Dolls in Mexico and see the terrifying collection of dolls and spiders. Finally, they try to spend the night in the demonic Sallie House.

The Haunting Shadows Of The St. Augustine Lighthouse (S6 E2) - 8.1

The ghoul boys visit the St. Augustine Lighthouse and walk up and down the claustrophobic steps trying to look for any supernatural presence of any of the former lighthouse keepers or children who tragically died at the lighthouse. Ryan thinks that he hears evidence of footsteps and a few answers on the spirit box, but as usual, Shane thinks nothing of it and is more interested in being at a lighthouse than in any possible spirits lurking at the location.

The Haunted Town Of Tombstone (S5 E5) - 8.1

The boys travel to the haunted town of Tombstone where the gunfight at O.K. Corral took place. Ryan and Shane get their cowboy hats and outfits on and visit the site. Both are excited to visit a place in Western history and are both fans of the 1993 movie Tombstone about the Earp family and the shootout. They have a fun time acting like they're in the Old West by breaking through saloon doors while saying catchphrases and counting down to finger gun fast draws to see who would win in a shootout. It's a fun episode with more laughs than scares and delves into a historic site in an interesting way.

The Haunted Decks Of The Queen Mary (S1 E7) - 8.1

This episode sees Ryan and Shane travel to The Queen Mary. Ryan delves into the background of the stories of the prior warship. Then, he reveals he had visited the ship ten years prior and had experienced a few paranormal encounters himself that made him into the believer he is, which Shane of course contests. This haunted location was also covered on the 80's show Unsolved Mysteries that helped solved countless cases.

While Ryan and Shane have yet to solve a case, it remains unsolved, it's still an entertaining episode and show and we keep watching to see what's next!

The Murders That Haunt The Lizzie Borden House (S2 E6) - 8.2

This episode sees Ryan and Shane spend the night at the Lizzie Borden house. Ryan sets up the background of the grisly ax murders with visuals of the family who were living in the house at the time and the extended family outside of the house. Then he narrates an animation of the timeline and goes into the theories about what might have happened that day. Shane, being his usual self, makes macabre jokes while in the house and tries his best to anger any spirits. Ryan tries to keep investigating and respecting the house and spirits, but Shane pulls him into singing the Lizzie Borden rhyme a few times.

The Haunted Quarters Of The Dauphine Orleans Hotel (s2 E9) - 8.2

Ryan and Shane travel to New Orleans to visit the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. Ryan discusses the sightings and stories about the haunted hotel since its beginning days as a brothel in the Civil War. They interview one of the bartenders and hear the stories she's heard and they try to recreate the encounters themselves, to no avail, but Ryan remains jumpy throughout the entirety of their stay. The closest evidence they find is footsteps above them, and when they ask other patrons at the hotel they say they've heard the same.

The Search For The Mysterious Mothman (S4 E1) - 8.2

This episode sees the boys travel to Point Pleasant, West Virginia to search for the cryptid legend, Mothman. The first half of the episode sees Ryan and Shane hit all of the Mothman themed tourist spots in the town including the local coffee shop with Mothman themed cookies and coffee, a pizza place with strategically placed ingredients to look like Mothman, and a Mothman statue in the middle of town. The second half of the episode sees them venture into the woods to look for Mothman with their own carefully crafted Mothman calls. It's a fun and light-hearted episode that sheds light on the Mothman legend and the community of the small town.

The Phantom Prisoners Of Ohio State Penitentiary (S4 E4) - 8.3

Shane and Ryan return to another prison and investigate to see if they can find any evidence of ghouls. The gothic architecture and gradual overpopulation of violent criminals led the once rehabilitation center to turn into a hardened maximum security prison with guards that tortured prisoners. Ryan pushes Shane to taunt the ghosts, and as usual, he obliges and begins to taunt and challenge whatever spirits are hanging around the haunted prison. No matter how creepy their surroundings, they're always ready to make light of the situation with some humor so they don't go insane visiting all of the terrifying sites.

The Captive Spirits Of Eastern State Penitentiary (S3 E3) - 8.4

Shane and Ryan continue to travel to haunted places to try to solve the question, are ghosts real, to which Shane always shakes his head "no they're not." They visit a haunted prison that used grotesque and extraordinary means and torture to keep the prisoners in constant solitary, making this episode overlap with their True Crime series. This is also the first appearance of the loud and static sounding spirit box they use in an attempt to speak with spirits, specifically with famed mobster Al Capone. It's a classic case as most hospitals and prisons beginning in the Victorian period and treated patients and prisoners with archaic and torturous means are always said to be haunted because of the tragedy and death that occurred.

The Unbelievable Horrors Of Old City Jail (S6 E6) - 8.5

buzzfeed unsolved old city jail

This recent episode has quickly become popular as Ryan and Shane visit yet another haunted jail that was built on an old cemetery ground and around the corner from an old asylum. The dilapidated location is full of more than a century of tragic history while in operation. The episode starts off lightheartedly as Shane is his usual self as he starts challenging the ghosts and Ryan joins in at first, but when they split up to do their own investigations, Ryan truly loses his mind and screams loudly enough that Shane hears him outside the jail.

The Haunted Halls Of Waverly Hills Hospital (S2 E4) - 8.5

Shane and Ryan investigate the haunted hospital built to aid Tuberculosis patients during the epidemic. One of the creepiest moments of the episode is when the boys venture down a dark sloping tunnel called the body chute where deceased patients would be transferred to. There's no exact number of how many people perished in the hospital, but it's safe to say many people died in the hospital that was built to house more than 500. It's a creepier episode due to the location, but there's still a lot of laughs as usual.

The Demonic Goatman's Bridge (S3 E4) - 8.5

Ryan and Shane visit the Old Alton bridge and try to find the demonic Goatman who is said to live on the bridge. Ryan is spooked by the possible demonic presence and the stories about people holding demonic rituals in the surrounding forest, but Shane is as bold as we've seen him as he screams and challenges the Goatman and possible people in the woods.

The boys go to the bridge, open a portal with a Ouija board to try to communicate with Goatman, and investigate the surrounding woods. This chaotic episode has some of the most iconic lines and scenes like Ryan bringing a water gun filled with Holy Water and Shane claiming the bridge as his own unless Goatman appears to fight him.

The Haunting Of Hannah Williams (S5 E6) - 8.6

This episode sees Ryan and Shane shake up the typical narrative of their show. They go on their first house call to a co-worker who claims she and her family have had paranormal encounters with a poltergeist or demon in their home and it is a great change of pace for the series. The episode adds real-life current stakes to the situation as we see their colleague affected by the episode and the occurrences in her house. Although there is emotional weight added to this episode, it's not short on laughs. They use a new device called an Ovilus to try to communicate with spirits and they get some pretty hilarious responses from it.
