Times aren't easy for Marvel's Old Man Logan, the aging version of Wolverine from another parallel universe. From a future where everything he had was already gone... but things have changed. Apparently, old Logan still had his healing factor to lose.

That little revelation has come at the worst possible time, as Logan find himself in the crosshairs of Bullseye himself, the famed assassin who claims to have never missed (and can turn almost anything into a deadly projectile. A point proven by the cover to Old Man Logan #44.

And our preview of the first pages doesn't make Bullseye any less terrifying.

The core mystery of Logan's fading healing factor has yet to be fully revealed or concluded. At present, he's forced to choose between vulnerability that would be a problem for a young, fit Wolverine... and juicing himself up with some questionable chemical cocktails to reverse the effects. Reverse them, only to pay for them later.

There would be time for Logan to turn to the various brilliant minds of the Marvel Universe, and get to the bottom of his condition, if only he wasn't being hunted.

Take a look at the preview pages below:

It may be Logan's name on the cover of the comic, but it's Bullseye who takes the spotlight in this opening scene. Having tracked down one of the hired guns he encountered alongside Logan, he twists and tortures as only a supervillain truly can (a terrific example of how well Ed Brisson's dialogue and Juan Ferreyra's artwork can complement one another).

Whatever leads Bullseye ends up getting, it doesn't look like Bullet will live to see it. He's just one more casualty doomed to drop once "Bullseye Returns," and we're positive he won't be the last. The question now becomes just how much damage can Bullseye inflict upon the vulnerable Logan? The cover artwork by Mike Deodato, Jr. shows he won't be careful with his weapons or shots taken, so it's possible that the worst days still lie ahead for the man once called Wolverine.

With his clock apparently now ticking, and the original Wolverine returning with a new superpower, maybe it's time to send out the old, and bring in the new (which was once old)? We'll let the fans decide that one.
