Every week adds brand new challenges for players to complete in Fortnite. These challenges typically range from dealing damage with specific weapons to visiting different portions of the map. Players who complete these challenges can typically expect to receive a lot of experience points. Some of these challenges though decide to reward players with new cosmetic items instead.

The Build-A-Brella challenges do just that. For completing each one players will receive new cosmetic upgrades that can be used to customize how their umbrella glider will look in-game. With a dozen different customization slots, players can truly make the umbrella uniquely theirs. This guide will show players how to complete this week's Build-A-Brella Topper Color challenge.

Many players may feel like their umbrella looks a little dull at the moment, and that's where this challenge comes in. By completing it they will be able to choose any color they like for the topper on it. This little splash of color will help spice up the look of this item considerably. Putting in the work to complete this challenge may take players a little bit of time though.

In order to complete it players will need to outlast 500 players in games. This means that while playing, 500 other players will need to be killed while the player remains alive. It can be completed on either solos, duos, or squads. Since there are only 100 people per game, that means that players will need to complete at least 6 matches if they want to finish this challenge.

There are a couple different ways to take a crack at this challenge. Players could just play normally, and they will eventually reach the 500 player mark. Those who can't wait to get their hands on that new color topper may want to speed the process up a little more though. The best way to do that is to start a solo match and obtain the best loot possible. Players should then try to play things carefully and hide out somewhere for as long as possible. Those who hide properly and avoid other players can pretty easily make it into the top 50 with no problems. From there players can play however they wish, but being cautious for the early parts of the game will ensure that players can finish this challenge in at most 10 games.
