One of the world's most well-known alcoholic beverage brands, Bud Light, has been inching its way into the gaming scene, and now it has joined the console wars with the release of the BL6 1/2 console, 1/2 koozie, and 1/2 projector. Gamers who thought getting their hands on a PS5 or Xbox Series X was hard won't be too happy about the BL6's ultra-limited quantity.

The BL6 isn't Bud Light's first crack at getting the attention of the gaming community. A few months ago, Bud Light's mascot Bud Knight had launched his own Twitter account rebranding himself as the eSports Knight. Bug Light also has its own gaming division known as Bug Light Gaming. It also has a Twitch account which is regularly used to stream games or Bud Light Tournaments. Bud Light has also taken to sponsoring some of the internet's largest streamers including one of Twitch's most successful partners TimTheTatman.

However, Bud Light has decided it's done playing games and is taking its role in the gaming community more seriously. Bud Light announced its very first console, the BL6, which is a three-in-one console, koozie, and projector. For the gamers who want to crack one open with the boys wherever they go, the BL6 combines console and mobile gaming while offering some unique amenities that the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are lacking. The BL6 is a highly desirable console, but gamers will have a hard time finding one of their own.

That's because there is only one BL6 console in existence, and it's currently up for bid with the proceeds going to charity. The current bid is over $5,000 with a little less than five days until the auction ends. While gamers could buy 10 PS5s for that amount of money, the BL6 is a one-of-a-kind feat of ingenuity. It comes with six games pre-installed, including Tekken 7, Soul Caliber VI, and two BL6 exclusive titles. While other consoles have a fear of overheating, the BL6 is built to keep itself and the player's beverages chilled to perfection. Sure, gamers could get a PS5 and Xbox like everyone else, or they can prove their dominance by being the owner of the world's only BL6.

The fact that Bud Light has actually developed its own console is pretty astounding. Other brands such as KFC have teased concept artwork for their fictitious consoles, but Bud Light has proved it's not messing around when it comes to gaming. While it may be unobtainable, players can still gawk at the console's specs on Bud Light's website, and streamer TimTheTatman will be opening the BL6 on stream to give a preview before it's sold.
