Bruce Willis is an iconic movie star, but in a 2007 Q&A, the actor revealed which movies he loves best, including his favorite horror. Willis has been on the Hollywood A-list for decades, although his projects aren't quite as high-profile as they once were. Yet, his fanbase is still clearly there, and will likely remain with him as long as he wants to keep acting. Willis is best known for his action career, most notably playing the heroic John McClane in the Die Hard franchise.

Wills first gained widespread fame as a co-lead on the hit TV dramedy Moonlighting, which is worth remembering, as it shows he's also done well outside of the action realm. He's starred in blockbuster comedies like Look Who's Talking, chilling horror films like The Sixth Sense, sci-fi mind-benders like 12 Monkeys, and just about everything in between. As with many people who end up working in film as a career, Willis has an appreciation for movies he's notin, and has his favorites like anyone else.

Movies are perhaps the most universally popular form of art in history, with just about everyone loving some type of movie or another, and M. Night Shyamalan's favorite superhero is no different. During a 2007 reader Q&A session with Ain't It Cool News, Willis revealed which movies he ranks at the top of his personal list.

Bruce Willis as John McClane in Die Hard

According to Willis, the following films are favorites that he watches at least three to five times per year. The actor initially indicated to his audience that would offer five or six picks, but as usual, John McClane went the extra mile and provided a lot more than that. To Willis' credit, most of his favorite movies are all-time classics and critical darlings, including Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove, The Godfather and The Godfather Part 2, Spartacus, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Bullitt, The Great Escape, On the Waterfront, The Last Picture Show, and Patton.

Bruce Willis also has a lot of love for director Martin Scorsese, citing Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, and Raging Bull among his favorite movies. Willis also loves Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, and would go on to work with Tarantino on Pulp Fiction. As for Willis' favorite horror movie, he chose the 1979 Ridley Scott classic Alien, which some would consider the greatest blend of horror and sci-fi ever made. In hindsight, it's a bit sad Willis never appeared in an Alien sequel alongside Sigourney Weaver, as he probably would've fit right in. Last but not least, Willis said he loved Zack Snyder's 300, which was a recent release at the time of the Q&A.
