Bruce Willis was caught by daughter Rumer walking around the house while wearing his space jumpsuit from 1998's Michael Bay sci-fi extravaganza, Armageddon. The Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 is an unprecedented event in modern history, dwarfed only by the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak. The only way to effectively combat Covid-19 is to quarantine at home and follow social distancing guidelines. In some communities, it's been difficult because of financial hardship and the welcoming weather of the summer months. Still, scientists and informed experts agree that quarantine safety must continue to be followed for the foreseeable future.

To that end, it's heartening to see celebrities and public figures practicing safety precautions from the comfort of home. While it's inherently easier for wealthy movie stars to stay home and essentially shut down their lives, for the time being, they're nonetheless setting an excellent example that others need to follow if this pandemic is ever going to be defeated. From late-night talk shows broadcasting from their hosts' living rooms to post-production on Hollywood movies being completed from the comfort of home, the world of entertainment is down, but not out. Social media, in particular, has been instrumental in keeping celebrities connected to their audiences while keeping the masses entertained in this challenging time. The latest star to inspire the masses via social media is none other than Bruce Willis.

Rumer Willis captured her father, film star Bruce Willis, wandering the house in his jumpsuit from the 1998 classic, Armageddon. In an Instagram post, she pointed out that it is, indeed, the actual costume from the film, and that the Die Hard star describes the jumpsuit as his "Saving the world outfit." In addition to the costume, Bruce Willis is also wearing a thick bandanna over his mouth and nose; offering added safety for himself and others.

Directed by Michael Bay, Armageddon is remembered as the American director's first large-scale epic. A story about a group of working-class drill experts who are summoned by NASA to save the world from an asteroid on a collision course with Earth. While rife with scientific inaccuracies, Armageddon is still regarded fondly by fans of Bay's grandiose sensibilities and overwrought-but-genuine sincerity.

Alas, Coronavirus isn't a problem that can be solved by planting a nuclear bomb in the center of a gigantic space rock. While there's a degree of humor inherent to the image of Bruce Willis walking around his house wearing his costume from Armageddon, it also sends a positive message. All it takes to be a hero in today's unprecedented situation is to stay home and follow social distancing guidelines.
