Stephanie Beatriz says she's ready to reunite with her Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast for a continuation of the hit series if one comes about. Created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur, the police comedy revolved around Jake Peralta and his co-workers in the titular New York City Police Department precinct. Brooklyn Nine-Nine often sees Jake and his antics come into conflict with the serious and strict commanding officer, Captain Raymond Holt.

Andy Samberg led the cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine alongside Beatriz, who stars as Jake's bets friend and precinct tough cop Rosa Diaz, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller. Having premiered in mid-2013, the series received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike through its eight-season run, garnering 11 Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations and winning two of each, including Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy and Best Actor for Samberg. After initially shifting from Fox to NBC, Brooklyn Nine-Nine came to a close in 2021, though the cast aren't all ready to move on just yet.

While speaking exclusively with Screen Rant for her work as Batwoman in Catwoman: Hunted, Stephanie Beatriz reflected on her time with Brooklyn Nine-Nine. When asked about her thoughts on reuniting for a continuation of the series in the future, Beatriz confirmed she is ready for a reunion with her cast, who she describes as "friends for life," though notes she doesn't know of any plans for such at the moment. See what Beatriz shared below:

"It's so sweet to think about reuniting with all those people. I love that cast and crew so much, we had such an amazing time shooting the series finale. It's crazy, because it's wrapped and done and it's aired in the US, but it hasn't aired in the UK yet. So I've had fans say, 'We're so excited for the eighth season,' I sort of forget like, 'Right, some of the world hasn't even seen it yet.'

In that way, it still hasn't completely come to a close, I don't think it'll ever feel like it's over over for me because the experience was, from start to finish, absolutely incredible. I made friends for life on that series and I grew and learned so much about myself. I would 100 percent love to visit those characters in that world again. Do I know if that's gonna happen? No. But I love those people so much. You just never know, right? You just never ever know."

Though the conclusion of Brooklyn Nine-Nine came as a more welcome chapter for the series than its unceremonious cancellation by Fox in 2018, it still came as quite the surprise to many as the show continued to be a critical and ratings hit for NBC. Production on season 8 saw numerous delays, first stemming from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic before the George Floyd and Black Lives Matter movements necessitated an adjustment in the writing to address the topic of police brutality while still maintaining its comedic streak. While audiences may be sad to have seen Brooklyn Nine-Nine end once again, Beatriz's hope for a reunion in the future should come as an exciting prospect for fans of the series.

Beatriz isn't the only Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast member to express their interest in a potential reunion for the show later down the road, with Terry Crews expressing a confidence that the series will return in some capacity. Given the show only just came to a close, such a reunion likely wouldn't happen for some time, though given fellow Michael Schur sitcom Parks and Recreation got a reunion special within five years of having concluded, there is a possibility for it to happen. In the meantime, audiences can revisit or catch up with the entirety of Brooklyn Nine-Nine streaming on Hulu now.
