WHEN HITCHCOCK DRANK THE FISH

There are plenty of things Hitchcock and Scully do that make many fans believe they are the unsung power couple of the Nine-Nine. For example, the two detectives are very frequently seen sharing snacks and meals. Like true best friends, they do just about everything together.

In a particularly hilarious episode, we are shown Scully with a jar of lemonade, and Hitchcock with an identical jar that contains a pet goldfish. Jake and the rest of the Nine-Nine begin to place bets on how exactly the two eccentric detectives will mix their items up. In the midst of the guessing games, we see Scully drink his own fish, much to everyone's disgust and horror.

WHEN SCULLY TOOK DIET PILLS IN THE '70s

Brooklyn Nine-Nine definitely has a knack for flashback scenes. The sequences never fail to be hilarious in depicting our beloved Nine-Nine gang as rookie cops or new detectives. A B99 flashback sequence is always a treat, but when Hitchcock and Scully are involved, it becomes a delightfully weird treat.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has established this comedic fact about the duo from the beginning of the series, so when the gang accidentally stumbles on Hitchcock and Scully nonchalantly microwaving burritos on the roof of the precinct, no one is really surprised.

A lot of hilarious Hitchcock and Scully moments are very brief and only scratch the surface of this pair's ineffable weirdness. We don't really know a lot about them, but what we do know is so hilariously odd, that we just have to know more.

When Amy, Rosa, and Terry are trying to devise a plan, they realize they need a distraction to pull it off. It's then that Rosa says, "Hitchcock and Scully just set fire to the kitchen sink". The camera pans to a hilarious shot of Hitchcock and Scully frantically trying to put out their kitchen fire.  This particular scene is only shown for a handful of seconds, but it's very funny due to its complete outrageousness.

WHENEVER THEY FIGHT

Even best friends fight sometimes. As would be expected, Hitchcock and Scully are so close and uncannily similar, that they rarely fought during all six seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. They are the only two people who understand each other, and they are often alienated from the rest of the Nine-Nine gang. It's because of this that they have always stuck close.

The one major fight that Hitchcock and Scully had was when Scully began dating Cindy Shatz, a woman who he oddly had a lot in common with. This newfound relationship created a rift between our favorite Hitchcock and Scully friendship, which led to quite a few predictably weird quarrels between the two of them. But of course, the best friends did not remain at odds for very long.

THE WAY THEY SOLVE CRIMES

The Ninety-Ninth precinct boasts many powerful detectives. The crew is very skilled and dexterous in solving crimes. In this department, Hitchcock and Scully are definitely regarded as the underdogs. They are known as being too lazy to do their work as detectives.

Now, this assumption does hold some truth to it, as Hitchcock and Scully are often inexplicably finding ways to get out of work. But sometimes, primarily back in the seventies and eighties (their golden years), these two managed to execute some impressive methods and solve crimes.

WHEN THEY WERE THE STUDS OF THE NINE-NINE

In season six, when Jake and Terry are looking into an old case of Hitchcock and Scully's, they make a surprising discovery. Hitchcock and Scully frequently claim that they are - or once were - the studs of the Nine-Nine. Of course, no one believed them or gave any weight to their words, until Jake and Terry found undeniable proof.

They uncover a photograph that depicts Scully and Hitchcock as, well, total hunks. This revelation is both as hilarious as it is shocking, but shows that Hitchcock and Scully were telling the truth all along.

WHEN SCULLY REVEALED THAT HITCHCOCK HAS A WORM

Hitchcock and Scully are always being depicted as gross old men. But as Brooklyn Nine-Nine does so well, the duo was written to be very multifaceted. This is an intriguing feature of the show. The series has characters that exist to serve comic relief, but that's not the main focal point of the characters' arcs.

That being said, Hitchcock and Scully have had their share of completely gross moments. In one episode, Hitchcock is trapped away from the rest of the gang, and Scully, worried for his friend, mentions that Hitchcock has a worm in his ear. This is hilarious in all of its utter ridiculousness, and Jake's comment - "I guess he's not truly alone out there then, is he?" - makes it even better.

Lucious and Cookie are a very well-known couple from FOX's hit show, Empire. They bear zero resemblance to Hitchcock and Scully, but that doesn't stop the duo from taking on the names Lucious and Cookie when they were trying to pull off a disguise.

This scene was hilarious and proved that Hitchcock and Scully not only have an awesome sense of humor, they are also very talented cosplayers.
