As is already evident, the cast of this hit show exhibits a diverse range of personalities on screen, so what better way to celebrate this show's dynamism than by merging it with the fandom of Harry Potter, and determining the Hogwarts house that would best fit the 99th Precinct's finest?
10 Jake Peralta - Gryffindor
A charming and quick-witted (yet often immature) detective, Jake's energy and enthusiasm when both on and off the job truly shows off his personality. He's definitely brave and loyal, which makes sorting him a little more difficult.
For someone of his talents, Jake could be a great fit in either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff house, however, his use of his imagination when it comes to solving cases and coming up with scenarios is a true reflection of a Gryffindor's creativity... as is his tendency not to look before he leaps in almost every aspect of his life!
9 Amy Santiago - Ravenclaw
The ever-motivated Amy has proven herself to be both resourceful and enthusiastic when on the job. Her die-hard ambition and top-drawer organisational skills are constantly used to work towards her vision for the future, and are often the most dominant aspects of her personality.
This puts Amy at a crossroads between becoming a Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw student, however, her analytical side which is used to assess her decisions before finalizing them puts her firmly within the intellectual Ravenclaw camp. Not to mention, no one loves a binder like a Ravenclaw.
8 Raymond Holt - Hufflepuff
The focused and determined Captain of the precinct, Holt is a decisive leader who always pays attention to detail on the job. He is systematic and sometimes seems detached from the group, although he cares about them deeply.
Due to being so serious and highly valuing loyalty, Holt is a quintessential Hufflepuff. This is particularly true when it comes to how he values the people around him, not just because of their talent, but also simply because they are human beings deserving of just treatment. He's always one to fight for the underdog (if they deserve it).
7 Terry Jeffords - Hufflepuff
Warm and kind-hearted, Terry is everything we wish we had in a co-worker and more. He is a sympathetic soul, who cannot help but assist his coworkers around the precinct when he sees that they are in need.
Terry is a Hufflepuff without a shadow of a doubt; he is conscientious and motivated at work, and ensures that he sets himself goals at work that he works tirelessly to achieve. More than that, he's loyal to the precinct, and highly values his family time.
6 Rosa Diaz - Ravenclaw
Strong-willed and logical, Rosa has a hands-on approach when it comes to problem solving. She refuses to allow problems to fester, and is one of the first to the scene when called to action. She's a cool troubleshooter, if one who is deeply private.
Rosa could fit into either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw houses, due to her tendency to tackle problems head-on and move forward quickly. Her analytical side, however, tips her more towards Ravenclaw.
5 Charles Boyle - Hufflepuff
Charles is an empathetic and caring individual who always wants what is best for his coworkers, particularly his best friend Jake. His sociable attitude and general warmth is the cornerstone of his personality.
Charles would be an appropriate candidate for both Hufflepuff and Slytherin house, due to students in both houses having the talent for communicating well with others and adapting to new situations. Ultimately, Charles' trademark quality of support and loyalty to his friends would make him an excellent addition to Hufflepuff house.
4 Gina Linetti - Slytherin
Sassy, confident, and always armed with a witty comeback, Gina's directness perfectly sums her up - this is not a woman with time to waste on anyone but herself. She is incredibly observant of social situations, however, she also comes across as being narcissistic.
Gina is an appropriate fit for both Gryffindor or Slytherin, however the spontaneity she displays with her quirky chirps as well as her many side ambitions swing her in the direction of Slytherin.
3 Michael Hitchcock - Gryffindor
While he may be lazy, Hitchcock is certainly resourceful, often managing to find ways around doing work yet still managing to amass one of the finest arrest records in the precinct. This certainly shows his adaptability.
Hitchcock is a suitable pick for both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, however, his tendency to go out on a limb and trust his gut shows the bravery of a Gryffindor.
2 Norm Scully - Gryffindor
Like his best friend and partner, Scully is lazy and obsessed with food. He is also resourceful, and has been able to surprise the rest of the precinct due to efficiently assisting in a case on numerous occasions. His ability to make hilarious side comments show off his surprising spontaneity.
Seeing as he is the ever-charming partner of Hitchcock in the 99th Precinct, we could never imagine splitting them apart, and with his joyful personality, Gryffindor will be the perfect house for him.
1 Adrien Pimento - Gryffindor
Outspoken and all around eccentric, Pimento's energy and enthusiasm for policework, as well as violence and gore, are his defining traits. With his many wild assumptions, Pimento has proven himself to be possibility focused.
While his past undercover work has driven him to insanity, the one thing that remains constant is his drive to succeed in law enforcement and do the right thing, making him the perfect candidate for Gryffindor.
