In a loveable show as this, with one of the best ensemble casts on television, it is not too difficult to see the very many amazing friendship moments of the show. Here are a few instances where Jake and Rosa proved to be friendship goals, and some other instances when Charles and Amy upped their game.

Jake & Rosa: The Swedes Make Them Get Real

In the presence of the Swedish partners, Jake and Rosa realize how starkly different their friendship is. In a short monologue, Jake aptly calls out how it was fine in their 20s when all they talked about was police work. But now that they are grown up with lives of their own, and so, being friends means more than just work talk. Rosa is first extremely hesitant and incessantly makes fun of the Swedes for their excessive closeness. But seeing how much it means to Jake for them to be able to talk a little more openly, Rosa makes a very deliberate effort to do so. In a really funny moment towards the end of the episode, viewers can see Rosa struggling to tell Jake about her personal life.

Charles & Amy: Get Real On The Flight

Amy is spiraling on their flight back realizing the danger Jake and the rest of the squad are in. Charles tries to distract her in multiple ways. But then he understands that nothing will stop her from spiraling and decides the best thing to do is to embrace the spiral. He asks for sundaes and they talk about their fears. It is a very touching moment of genuine friendship between the two of them as they each address what they fear the most. Charles is able to get Amy through the spiral and successfully keeps her engaged during the duration of the flight.

Jake & Rosa: "Game Night"

In the episode where Rosa comes out, viewers are able to witness the friendship between the two of them. Jake's unwavering support and his willingness to be part of awkward situations show the lengths to which he is willing to go for Rosa.

The sentiment is sweet and his support in practice also shows the wonderful friendship between these two characters. Jake and Rosa have been friends for quite a long time and it is quite something to see the love and respect they have for each other.

Charles & Amy: Charles' Is Team Amy

Like many important and big decisions in their lives, Amy and Jake decide that they'll decide whose house to move into depending on who wins a bet. The bet is based on who can bring in the most fugitives. Amy and Charles are teamed up for this episode and even though Amy thinks that Charles would be supporting Jake, that doesn't turn out to be the case. Charles is completely on her side, albeit for his own personal reasons. But they team up to make sure Amy wins.

Jake & Rosa: Rosa Helps Jake Move On

In the initial seasons, viewers are privy to Jake's pining. Jake hasn't gotten over Amy yet. Rosa too notices this and is unhappy with the situation. Despite what she initially says, Rosa gives Jake her friend's number telling him that the only way to move on, is to actually move on. This is a wonderful moment of camaraderie between the characters who understand each other on a fundamental level. Rosa doesn't like seeing Jake helpless like that and helps him out in the way she sees fit.

Charles & Amy: Amy Invests In Charles' Dream

Charles is a foodie at heart. He loves cooking and eating. His dream is to open a food truck and it is Amy who is ready to invest in his dreams. Despite her misgivings, upon actually tasting Charles' food, she decides to go all in. She supports Charles' wholeheartedly, providing emotional and financial support.

Their strong trust in each other is reflected in this situation. Amy also provides the necessary stability and sensibility that Charles sometimes lacks, proving to be a good partnership between them.

Jake & Rosa: "We Will Never Not Be Friends"

The threat of the precinct getting shut down is very high in Season 4. And Rosa is fearful that they will stop seeing each other and hence stop being friends with each other. In a really sweet moment, Jake tells her that they'll always be friends and won't stop being friends even if they are transferred to other precincts. In the typical Rosa faction, she acknowledges this sentiment and asks Jake to take his hand off of her. This sweet and funny moment is a good representation of their long-lasting friendship.

Charles & Amy: Amy Being On Charles' Side To Get Him Back On The Squad's Text Thread

Charles is not the best person to have on a text thread. He's over-enthusiastic and texts excessively. When he finds out that he's not on the squad text thread, he is understandably upset. Amy feels bad for him and advocates on his behalf to get him added onto it, provided he respect some boundaries. While Gina as usual doesn't support Charles, she does help Amy teach him texting etiquette. Throughout the episode, viewers witness Amy's earnest support in making sure Charles is able to get on the text thread.

Jake & Rosa: Rosa Helps Jake Quit His Obsessive State

Jake is obsessed about a case and more so because he is unable to solve it. To make matters worse, he promised the loved one of the victim that he'd solve the case.

He takes so much pressure on himself that he's unable to think and act rationally. He doesn't sleep and obsessively thinks about the case all the time. Only Rosa is able to talk him out of it. She tells him what he's got to do and tells him that she'll be there for him like he was for her.

Charles & Amy: Prison Stories

When Amy goes undercover in a prison, Jake is unable to handle it well. Charles then takes over as her handler. He is more trusting of Amy's instincts in the matter and more helpful in this scenario. Amy's genuine happiness and excitement on hearing Charles' adoption plans is heartwarming for viewers to see. There is genuine affection between the two of them. Also, their trust in each other is what made Amy's undercover mission successful as well. Charles provided Amy with much-needed support that allowed Amy to be successful.
