Now that the final episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine has aired, here is what shows or movies each of the main cast members are doing next. The comedy series created by Parks and Recreation's Dan Goor and Michael Schur began in 2013, and the first five seasons aired on FOX. After it was canceled by FOX, NBC agreed to continue the Emmy-winning comedy. Brooklyn Nine-Nine continued for three more seasons on NBC, but the series has now come to a close.

The growing popularity of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is easily attributed to the show's incredibly funny cast. After leaving Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg accepted the lead role of Jake Peralta, and the series further proved just how talented of a performer he is. It is arguably Andre Baugher's inclusion that elevated Brooklyn Nine-Nine to the next level: he was nominated for four Emmys for his performance as Raymond Holt. The series also provided breakout roles for Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Trugilo, and Chelsea Peretti before she left. As a result of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's success, the show even managed to include Kyra Sedgwick, Jason Mantzoukas, Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, Eva Longoria, Fred Armisen, Jimmy Smitts, Katey Sagal, Sterling K. Brown, and more as guest stars.

The eighth and final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is now complete, which means fans of the series will no longer be able to see the show's talented cast in new episodes. While the series is immensely rewatchable, there is still the opportunity for audiences to watch the actors in new projects. The end of Brooklyn Nine-Nine gives all of the show's cast members a chance to pursue other roles without having to worry about scheduling around a full-time series production schedule. So what types of projects do the show's multiple stars have in the works? Here's what each Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast member is doing next.

Andy Samberg

Now that Andy Samberg's days of playing detective Jake Peralta on Brooklyn Nine-Nine are over, the actor is working on several upcoming projects. The next chance viewers will have to see Samberg is as himself as a host of a baking competition series with Maya Rudolph, Baking It. The Peacock game cooking show does not have a confirmed release date. Samberg is also set to voice Dale in Disney's live-action/CGI-hybrid Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers movie. He'll also provide the voice of Captain Valentine in 2K's 2022 video game Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Stephanie Beatriz

Rosa Diaz looking serious in in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Stephanie Beatriz has a busy schedule ahead after Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Her first role after playing Rosa Diaz will be as the lead of Disney's 2021 animated movie Encanto. Beatriz plays Mirabel Madrigal, the lone member of a magical family born without any special gifts. She's also in Netflix's 2021 animated series Maya and the Three, where she plays Chimi. Beatriz will also provide the voice of Batwoman in the upcoming anime movie Catwoman: Hunted, which is expected to arrive in 2022. Viewers will be able to see her on-screen again as part of Trans Los Angeles.

Terry Crews

After playing Terry Jeffords on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Terry Crews' upcoming slate of projects is currently quite small. His only confirmed role is as part of Paramount's 2022 animated movie Rumble, where he plays a monster named Tentacular. Crews has a history of appearing in multiple other projects in small roles, so he could have some surprise appearances already lined up. Crews will not be in The Expendables 4, though, due to a conflict with the film's producer.

Melissa Fumero

Melissa Fumero's time as Amy Santiago on Brooklyn Nine-Nine is over too. She only has one confirmed upcoming appearance in a movie or TV show. Fumero will star in an upcoming comedy titled Bar Fight, where she will play the lead role of Nina. The film focuses on Nina and her boyfriend breaking up and deciding who gets their bar as part of their split. Bar Fight is the directorial debut of Klaus writer Jim Mahoney. Fumero could also return to her role as MODOK's daughter Melissa Tarleton if Hulu makes a second season of Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.

Joe Lo Truglio

Joe Lo Truglio became a fan-favorite part of Brooklyn Nine-Nine for his portrayal of Charles Boyle. However, he does not have any confirmed projects after the comedy series. Truglio has made several appearances across various TV shows and movies in the past. Animated shows like American Dad and Bob's Burgers could always bring him back to play new characters. Now that Truglio is not preoccupied with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, he could begin booking more roles for the future.

Andre Braugher

Captain Holt from Brooklyn Nine-Nine

After eight seasons of playing Captain Raymond Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Andre Braugher's list of upcoming projects is fairly light. His lone confirmed future role is in Maria Schrader's movie She Said. The movie is based on New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, played by Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan, investigating the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment story that launched the #MeToo movement. Braugher is set to play Dean Baquet, the Executive Editor of The New York Times.

Joel McKinnon Miller

Best known for playing Scully throughout Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Joel McKinnon Miller has a few roles lined up in the future. He's set to appear in an upcoming short film Brooklyn Nine-Nine's cinematographer Rick Page titled Snow Globe & The Cat. Miller is also scheduled to appear in HBO Max's upcoming crime drama The Staircase. The show is a remake of the 2004 French series of the same name and stars Toni Collette and Colin Firth.

Dirk Blocker

Dirk Blocker has spent the last several years playing Hitchock on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He hasn't done much acting outside of the series, and he only appeared in season 8 over Zoom/FaceTime after retiring from the NYPD. Blocker doesn't have any other roles booked for his post-Brooklyn Nine-Nine career. He previously appeared in horror films like Poltergeist and Prince of Darkness during the early days of his career.

Marc Evan Jackson

Marc Evan Jackson wasn't a series regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but his role as Kevin Cozner was an important one. Although he didn't appear in the two-part series finale, Jackson appeared in 18 episodes overall as Holt's husband. His only confirmed upcoming role is in Scroll Wheel of Time, a digital series from Eko. Jackson will play Steve Jobs. He will also likely return in The Baby-Sitters Club season 2 on Netflix as the father of Mary Anne.
