Nowadays, New Jersey-born actress Brit Morgan is best known for her recurring role on The CW’s Archie Comics-inspired series Riverdale. Morgan plays Penny Peabody, a corrupt lawyer and drug trafficker who formerly worked with the Southside Serpents and had a grudge against fan-favorite Jughead Jones. Morgan has, however, been acting since the late noughties and Riverdale was by no means her first role.

Brit Morgan kickstarted her acting career with a series of one-off roles on TV shows including college-set comedy-drama Greek and crime series CSI: NY, before nabbing herself a main part as Melanie in the 2007 horror TV miniseries Buried Alive. The following year she made her feature film debut in the crime-comedy Beer For My Horses and played a lead role as Lacey Thornfield on ABC Family’s short-lived adaptation of the Viper Comics series The Middleman.

HBO’s fantasy-horror series True Blood gave Brit Morgan her next big TV role. Morgan joined the show in its third season and played recurring character Debbie Pelt – a werewolf – for a total of 14 episodes before she met a sticky end at the hands of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) in the season 4 finale. She also had one-off roles in a variety of hit TV shows throughout the early 2010s including Shameless, Southland, and Two And A Half Men.

Morgan got a few more movie roles under her belt during the early 2010s too. Alongside parts in various comedies including She Wants Me, Cheesecake Casserole and Freeloaders, she also starred in the 2012 horror movie The Frozen and reunited with her True Blood co-star Anna Paquin in the 2013 indie film Free Ride. Morgan added another horror movie to her résumé in 2016 with the social media fright fest Friend Request.

She made a return to TV with the USA Network crime drama Graceland on which she had a ten-episode stint playing heist-planning genius Amber. After her time on Graceland came to an end she then joined the cast of Supergirl with a recurring role as supervillain Leslie Willis, AKA Livewire. More recently, Brit Morgan had a one-off role as Rachel – the sister-in-law of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) – on Amazon’s anti-superhero series The Boys and is soon set to star in the upcoming Grand Canyon-set romantic drama Granite Moon Rapids alongside John Charles Meyer and Missi Pyle.
