Brie Larson is having fun with speculation that she could be cast in an upcoming Star Wars, specifically the one produced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Even though Lucasfilm and Disney are gearing up for the launch of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hitting theaters in December, the attention around the franchise recently shifted. It was announced that after 11 years of crafting the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Feige will now try his hand at making a Star Wars film.
The reveal came as quite a surprise, even with Feige's well-documented love for the franchise, and has raised a number of questions. Details on the story Feige wants to tell have yet to be revealed, and the same is true as for when his Star Wars film will be released. One question that has already been prompted is who will star in the film, as Feige reportedly has already approached a major actor about a specific role.
This sparked a lot of speculation over who this star could be, with many of Feige's now world-famous MCU stars among the most popular suggestions. Even with all of the different possibilities that exist (which also includes non-MCU stars), the one name that has been arguably most speculated is Captain Marvel star Brie Larson. Well, it would appear that she has seen and heard the call for her to be in Feige's Star Wars movie. She's having fun with the speculation by sharing a photo on Twitter originally from this summer of her dressed like a Jedi for a special screening of Star Wars: A New Hope, asking if people have been talking about Star Wars.

While there are no actual reports linking Brie Larson to Feige's Star Wars film (or any Star Wars movie for that matter), this is the latest example of her expressing a desire to join the galaxy far, far away. She mentioned earlier this year that she "wants to be a Jedi" and has upped her presence with the franchise ever since. Not only did she share the above photo earlier this summer, but she also went to the opening night of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
Whether or not Larson is the mystery actor that Feige has approached for his movie, she would be quite the get for the Star Wars franchise. She's an Oscar-winning actress who just headlined a $1 billion solo movie for the MCU and returned shortly after for Avengers: Endgame. The future of the Star Wars franchise is not completely clear after The Rise of Skywalker, but new cast members will be needed for Feige's film, the Rian Johnson trilogy, the Benioff and Weiss trilogy, and much more. With so many films coming, it may just be a matter of time before Larson joins Star Wars one way or another.
