Brie Larson gifts fans with a video of herself singing and playing guitar to an Olivia Rodrigo song. Larson rose to fame with roles in films like 21 Jump Street and Short Term 12, but it was her heart-wrenching performance in the critically acclaimed Room that turned her into an A-list Hollywood star. After winning the Oscar for Best Actress, Larson went on to score her biggest role yet: Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She has so far appeared in two movies for the franchise and will return for next year's The Marvels.

Meanwhile, 2021 has been Rodrigo's time to shine. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star made headlines earlier this year when her debut single "Drivers License" became a viral hit and broke streaming records. Rodrigo followed that up with the release of her first album, SOUR, in May, right around the time High School Musical: The Musical: The Series returned for season 2 on Disney+. It looks like Rodrigo's success can't be stopped, and she's now earned some praise from Larson.

On Monday, Larson shared a video of herself singing along to Rodrigo's "Jealousy, Jealousy" on social media. Accompanying herself on guitar, Larson's video takes fans through the first verse and chorus. "Thank you @oliviarodrigo for giving the world your words," Larson wrote in the caption. Over the past year, Larson has spent her downtime amid the pandemic building a robust YouTube channel and supplying her fans with fun behind the scenes content. This included releasing a new version of her beloved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World song "Black Sheep," which likely remains fans' favorite song of hers. Still, her cover of "Jealousy, Jealousy" is definitely an enjoyable listen. Perhaps Larson will pick another song from SOUR for another video down the road. There are plenty of appealing choices.

Larson has been busy getting ready to film The Marvels, which is slated for release in November 2022. Much of Larson's recent posts have shown her impressive training process, so it's almost odd seeing her slow down with some music. Of course, even superheroes deserve to have fun. Little is known about The Marvels at this point in time, though it has been confirmed it will feature Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani). Beyond that, fans will have to wait a bit longer before they learn more about what's in store. Luckily, though, Larson is happy to provide some fun social media content to help ease the wait.
