Netflix releases new character posters for Bridgerton season 2, welcoming 11 new and returning characters to the newest London season. Debuting on the streamer in just a few weeks, Bridgerton season 2 will introduce audiences to a brand new love story after the breakout success of its first season. The Shondaland series first premiered at the end of 2020 and swiftly became one of Netflix's biggest original shows of all time. Fans all around the world were enamored with the romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), and the success of Bridgerton led to a renewal all the way through season 4.

In keeping with author Julia Quinn's books, Bridgerton season 2 will turn its sights to another sibling's search for an agreeable match. Eldest child Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) spent much of season 1 meddling in Daphne's suitor search while avoiding his own possible marriage. Now that he's ended things with opera singer Siena (Sabrina Bartlett), Anthony will spend Bridgerton season 2 going toe-to-toe with the ton's newest member, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

Kate, Anthony, and the rest of the Bridgerton cast are on display in a new series of posters just unveiled by Netflix. In addition to spotlighting returning players like Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), the posters put a great focus on the two biggest new characters: Kate and her sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran). Scroll on to see the Bridgerton season 2 ensemble.

The first poster, which places Anthony right between Kate and Edwina, hints at the core setup for Bridgerton season 2. Anthony actually starts out pursuing Edwina, and Kate, desperate to protect her sister, opposes Anthony almost immediately. In fact, Netflix began promoting Bridgerton season 2 last fall with a clip of Anthony and Kate verbally sparring outside of a ball. Clearly, the eldest Bridgerton will have his hands full with the Sharma sisters, making for an interesting dynamic for the series to explore.

Outside of Anthony's story, Bridgerton promises to still have plenty of intrigue for the rest of its sizable cast. Now that Penelope has been revealed to be the mysterious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, she's shown with a sheaf of paper and a quill; it says a lot that she's actually off to the side, seemingly watching, while other characters play croquet behind her. Absent from the Bridgerton season 2 posters is Daphne, who will continue to appear in the series in a smaller role. Simon, meanwhile, will not return for season 2 despite Page's newfound popularity. Even without him, though, it looks like Bridgerton will have plenty of excitement to bring those record-breaking viewers back. It all begins later this month on Netflix.
