With a reputation of being a period-themed Gossip Girl, Bridgerton actually has many more facets than just the gossip aspect. Of course, the most obvious are the romantic relationships, but if one looks further there are also wonderful friendships and family bonds that can never be broken.

Of course, focusing on one or two families, there are bound to be many familial relationships on this list, but perhaps that's the part of its charm. With eight siblings, Bridgerton still managed to give viewers engaging sibling dynamics, with each character being drastically different from each other, along with unexpected friendships and epic romances.

Anthony and Violet

Overall, season 2 has some important Anthony and Violet scenes. The audience can see Violet prompting Anthony to take on his role as the man of the family, but that doesn't mean that her expectations are the only thing she gives him.

More than once, she makes it clear that she understands how hard it is for him to live in the shadow of the great man his father was. While Anthony is set on completing his duty to his family, she wants her son to be happy and is willing to help him get there by any means necessary. It's probably the most endearing mother/son relationship in the show.

Anthony and Hyacinth

This relationship dynamic is a mix between big brother and little sister and father and daughter, it is amazing to see how Anthony steps into the role his father left vacant.

Between allowing Hycinth to attend certain events and prompting her to dance with him when nobody else shows up and the ball turns into an informal gathering, Anthony is the big brother of anyone's dreams, and viewers can't wait to get more scenes between them as Hyacinth grows up more.

Simon and Daphne

Of course, this swoon-worthy Bridgerton couple the great love story of season 1 - Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton - is one of the best relationships in the show. Before finding love and companionship with each other, they found trust and friendship due to their unusual plan.

Despite the lack of communication that made Simon and Daphne's relationship seriously toxic at some points, it was wonderful to see them overcome it and find happiness together. After all, the greatest marriages are those that are founded on friendship.

Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury

Bridgerton Queen Charlotte prequel Lady Mary Lady Danbury

This was a rather unusual and unexpected friendship. If season 1 presented this as a rather tentative connection, season 2 made it seem like Lady Danbury had a lot of pull with the Queen. It turned out that Queen Charlotte values Lady Danbury's opinion to the point where she takes her advice (when it suits her of course).

However, despite no lack of confidence, Lady Danbury still seems to be nervous when the Queen demands something she can't make happen, so there is still authority present.

Benedict and Eloise

Eloise and Benedict in Bridgerton Season 2

Their friendship was already a shining star in season 1, and continues into season 2. Benedict is among the people who do not seem to pressure Eloise in any way. Even when he catches her smoking, which is very unladylike, he tolerates it. Furthermore, he trusts her with some pretty big secrets.

In Benedict, Eloise finds a confidant, someone who supports her just the way she is. If she sees her mother as someone she constantly disappoints, Benedict is that person she doesn't worry about disappointing. Their friendship is lovely and at times hilarious to watch, and hopefully, there will be more of it in next season, especially since Bridgerton fans are hoping Benedict gets more screentime in the future.

Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton

The two scheming ladies of the show already joined forces in season 1, and they do it again in season 2. After successfully ensuring the marriage between the Duke and Duchess of Hastings, they are once again brought together when Anthony courts Edwina and eventually proposes.

Though the situation is complex because they must ensure their family's reputation remains good, they stay positive and optimistic, creating a joint plan on how to avoid a scandal. And they seem to have a lot of fun together too!

Anthony and Daphne

If their sibling relationship starts off rather on the rocky side in season 1 (who could blame Daphne), their relationship grows over the episodes into a warm bond between a brother and sister. With friendly banter aside, this season features Daphne being incredibly observant of her brother's wishes and helpful.

Despite Anthony making Daphne's season hell for her, she offers some valuable advice from her perspective. She is the one that knows Anthony well and is also witness to enough moments between Kate and Anthony for her to put it all together.

Eloise and Penelope

With the fate of their friendship hanging in the air, there are still some lovely moments of their friendship in both seasons. They are both flawed and complex characters, who have made mistakes. However, it always seemed nothing could come between them for long.

They also had excellent communication, as they could share with each other what bothered them clearly, which is why Eloise's speech at the end was so brutal - she truly has some of the most memorable Bridgerton quotes. They never hold things back. It will be interesting to see if their friendship can survive the web of lies between them and Penelope's writing almost ruining not one, not two, but three members of the Bridgerton family, including Eloise herself.

Colin and Penelope

Penelope's friendship with Colin seemed to have grown quite a bit in season 2. They exchanged many letters while Colin was away, and he really seemed to have realized what an important friend Penelope is to him.

While Penelope already harbors feelings for him, he is yet to realize it and it might get further complicated when he finds out she's Lady Whistledown. Hopefully, there will be significant growth on both sides before their friendship takes a turn, but fans are excited about their season.

Kate and Anthony

If there was one thing about season 2 that nearly every fan seemed to anticipate and love it was the relationship between Kate and Anthony. The ever-popular enemies-to-lovers trope was done to perfection and the chemistry between them was sizzling in every scene.

But it was not just the chemistry that sealed the deal. It was watching Kate, who was set on her opinion of Anthony, slowly change her mind and get to know him for who he really is.
