As the actor continues to make a resurgence in Hollywood, one fan shares a brilliant song celebrating the return of Brendan Fraser to the spotlight. Fraser rose to stardom in the early '90s with his lead roles in the cult comedies Encino Man and Airhead and sports drama School Ties before ultimately landing his first major role with Disney's live-action adaptation of George of the Jungle. Following this box office success, Fraser would go on to his fan-favorite role of adventurer Rick O'Connell in Universal's The Mummy franchise in 1999 and 2001.

Though appearing in some well-received independent dramas, including Gods and MonstersThe Quiet American and Crash, Fraser would also find his big-screen efforts begin to wane with the critical and commercial bombs Dudley-Do-Right and Monkeybone and the modestly successful Blast from the PastBedazzled, Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Following a string of poorly received movies and personal problems, Fraser would find the tide beginning to turn with his role in Showtime's The Affair season 3, which received generally positive reviews and opened the door to a multitude of prominent TV projects. As his recent roles have led to what some have dubbed the "Brenaissance," akin to Matthew McConaughey's own resurgence a decade ago, many fans are celebrating the actor's comeback in their own unique ways.

As the star lands more role in high-profile projects, Twitter user Nick Lutsko has shared a song celebrating the resurrection of Fraser's star power in Hollywood. With cheeky references to his past works, both celebrated and maligned, and a humorous request to take the role of the President of the United States in his own film, the song is a brilliant and sweet ode to the actor. Though Lutsko's requests for Fraser's George of the Jungle to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the derided Furry Vengeance making it into the Criterion Collection are certainly humorous wishes that will never come true, it's sure to come as a fun treat for fans of Fraser to see the wholesome song celebrating his return. The actor himself, should he see it, would also likely be moved by the sentiment, as seen in a recent TikTok in which Fraser appeared to get choked up hearing the wave of support fans have for his resurgence. The one wish Lutsko wills into the universe fans are sure to hope to see come true is Fraser's return to The Mummy franchise, namely after the Tom Cruise-led reboot flopped at the box office and derailed Universal's Dark Universe plans.

Many actors have experienced a positive comeback in recent years in Hollywood, including Keanu Reeves, as mentioned by Lutsko in his song, and Brendan Fraser's has seen the same level of fan appreciation as the John Wick star given his genuine personality. With Fraser set to appear in both Martin Scorsese's long-gestating Killers of the Flower Moon adaptation and Darren Aronofsky's adaptation of The Whale, Lutsko's hope for the star to sweep the Oscars in the future may not be too far off. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Fraser's return as Cliff Steele/Robotman in Doom Patrol season 3 when it arrives on HBO Max on September 23.
