The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild fans have searched high and low to uncover the game's many secrets, with some discovering rare cutscenes. Thanks to social media, players use screen capture and share hard-to-find scenes they've found while exploring Hyrule. Nintendo hides many of these scenes behind completing quests, interacting with NPCs under certain conditions, and the order players accomplish certain milestones. Breath of the Wild's open world allows total freedom, and its developers seem to have been prepared for many outcomes.

Breath of the Wild is a massive game with hundreds of hours of gameplay for casual players avoiding the main questline. Exploration will reward Link with loot, missions, upgrades, and valuable items. Extended exploration and side quests are unnecessary for completing Breath of the Wild's main quest but hold a vast majority of the game's content. Defeating the Divine Beasts and Calamity Ganon is just a tiny portion of Link's grand adventure through Hyrule.

A newly discovered scene reveals Nintendo developers planned for players to face Divine Beasts before visiting BOTW's Kakariko Village. Regarded as a starting point for Breath of the Wild's main adventure, Kakariko Village is home to the wise Impa. She previously served Princess Zelda as a Sheikah and offers Link sage advice to succeed in his quest. Players who fail to interact with Impa and confront a Divine Beast will instead hear Princess Zelda's voice. She will inform Link that Ganon has infected the Divine Beast, and he must venture inside it to cleanse the machine. Because most players speak with Impa first, this scene is incredibly easy to miss.

Breath Of The Wild Missable Scenes: Hestu's Secret Song & Kass' Zelda Connection

Hestu represents one of the most challenging quests in Breath of the Wild. After encountering the large Korok south of Kakariko Village, Hestu will ask players to collect 900 Korok seeds. Then, Hestu will move around the open world as Link collects more seeds and trades them for upgrades. Interacting with Hestu while Link is undressed will reveal a unique scene (and song) that lightens an embarrassing situation. Using his classic "shalaka laka" catchphrase, Hestu will dance and shake his maracas while rejoicing in their shared exposure: "Shaka! Shakaka! You are nekkid! I am nekkid! We are united in exposure! Nekky, nokky, nakey!"

Kass is Breath of the Wild's charming bard, who will ask Link to bring him as many songs as possible. His songs will point players toward mysteries hidden in the surrounding area, assisting in exploring BOTW's many hidden secrets. After Link has collected every ancient song and returned them to Kass, the minstrel will return to Rito Village. He will sing a final song that reveals a piece of Link and Zelda's story and his teacher's unrequited love for the princess. Kass' teacher wrote his last song hoping that Link might return to save the princess and the rest of Hyrule. Collecting the ancient songs can be difficult, but doing so will expand on Breath of the Wild's impressive lore and worldbuilding while offering a satisfying conclusion to Kass' adventure.

There are many secrets in Breath of the Wild that players are still discovering, showing how the game's depth goes far beyond its main questline. The details Nintendo hid in-game continue to immerse players in Link's adventures to this day. Though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is four years old, the continuous discovery of new secrets keeps the title relevant and popular.
