From Jesse Pinkman's over-excited reactions to his own ideas to Hank Schrader's dad jokes, there are a lot of different elements of comedy in the show. While there's murder and drugs spliced in between, the humor works well in breaking things up. But out of all the characters in the series, who ends up being the funniest?

Mike Ehrmantraut

Mike and Jesse in Breaking Bad

Mike is one of the greatest characters within Breaking Bad, and while he's not really supposed to be funny, he ends up being exactly that. He is just a grumpy man who wants to do his job, collect his money, and leave. However, he gets wrapped up with so many crazy characters, from Walt to Saul, that he ends up becoming frustrated constantly.

His reactions to the madness that others put him through are always hilarious, and sometimes all it takes is a small grunt from Mike to make audiences laugh. His pure displeasure about the people he has to spend time with is never not entertaining.

Gale Boetticher

Gale inside the laboratory in Breaking Bad

Gale Boetticher doesn't belong in the drug empire, as his sunny disposition just doesn't work with that cutthroat environment. However, Gale being so out of place brings a lot of unintentional comedy, mainly because he's just so positive about everything.

His budding scientific friendship with Walt in the early stages is often very funny and seeing how Gale operates his life to the finest detail also brings some comedy. He became popular with fans because of this, with nobody wanting to see him die.

Huell Babineaux

Huell denies knowing about Walt's money Breaking Bad, looking upset.

One of Saul Goodman's employees, Huell is a hilarious character from Breaking Bad and one that never disappoints. While he is hired by Saul to be intimidating, deep down Huell is just a softie and that brings a lot of comedy throughout the show.

Huell isn't one of the most prominent characters, but when he talks everyone listens and that's because he typically has something hilarious to say. It led to him being an iconic supporting character, with his scene of lying on the bed of money being one that no fan forgets.

Walt Jr. White

The great thing about Walt Jr is that he is happy to say whatever is on his mind. He has no problem just coming out with something, even if it might be hurtful to others, and often he says what everybody else is thinking, which leads to some very funny moments.

Walt Jr. doesn't hold back and that opens him up to some great comedy throughout the show. While his character also gets put through a lot from an emotional standpoint, he delivers plenty of comedy as well.

Walter White

Bryan Cranston as Walter White in Breaking Bad

Walter White might not seem like one of the funniest characters in Breaking Bad, purely because he's often so serious. However, he is a hilarious part of the show, which mainly comes from his reactions to other situations, mainly when Jesse annoys him.

However, he also brings a lot of fantastic physical comedy. He can be hilarious when he's begging or scared, yet he can be equally as funny when he's being egotistical and cocky. Plus, Walt launching the pizza onto the roof is the funniest moment in the entire show.

Skinny Pete

Skinny Pete tells Jesse how Combo's funeral went down in Breaking Bad.

Skinny Pete is an excellent character and one that is reliable and trustworthy when it comes to being friends with Jesse and helping him out with his drug empire. However, he's not the smartest tool in the shed, and that often brings plenty of comedic moments to the show.

Skinny Pete brings some amazing one-liners throughout the series, having no problem in just jumping into anything no matter what, which is often hilarious to see. He is easily pleased and quickly amazed, and his friendships often bring the funniest moments.

Badger

Badger listens to Jesse's instructions

While Skinny Pete provides a lot of comedy in his appearances, out of the pair it is Badger who is funnier. He's not intelligent, but he has no problem in coming out with philosophical comments, which feel totally out of place for him, which in turn makes them funnier.

When Badger gets high, he ends up going off on long tangents about different topics, showcasing his hidden intelligence which is something nobody expects. But it's because that humor is so unexpected that he ends up being so funny.

Hank Schrader

Hank Schrader outside the RV in Breaking Bad

Hank Schrader might be quite a serious character when it comes to his work or catching the infamous Heisenberg, but that doesn't mean he's not funny. When he's at home or with the family, Hank is always able to bring the comedy, often in an over-the-top manner.

He provides a lot of dad jokes in the show, and he seems to think that he is hilarious, especially when it comes to joking around with his friends. While the things Hank says aren't always funny, his reactions are brilliant and often make the situation far more hilarious.

Jesse Pinkman

Aaron Paul

Jesse Pinkman is a hilarious character that brings a lot of positivity throughout the series. While his story does end up being quite an upsetting one due to the difficulties that he goes through, the fact is that at the start, Jesse is absolutely hilarious.

He is happy to talk trash to anybody, whether he's dropping his classic one-liner or his big reactions to magnets or other scientific moments. Jesse is an excellent character and he brings tons of humor throughout the show, which is why he ends up being so popular.

Saul Goodman

Saul Goodman is put into Breaking Bad with the intention of bringing comedy to the show. While he does prove himself to be useful at points and actually good at his job in others, Saul is primarily around for humor, and he brings some fantastic moments.

From telling everyone they'd "Better Call Saul," to his excellent reactions to what others say to him, Saul is absolutely hilarious. He has no problem in coming out with some wild one-liners either which always keeps audiences entertained and helped to make him one of the most popular characters in the show.
