Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City wrapped up its 12th season in 2020 but season 13 isn't far away. With every finale comes an iconic reunion hosted by Andy Cohen, who then rehashes the entire season. Important questions are asked, fights break out, and tears are shed. Reunions have it all.
But there's another aspect of the reunion that fans cannot wait for: the fashion choices. Usually, there's some sort of theme that the ladies follow but it's never too overdone. The ladies dress in their New York best as they sit for hours talking about their past decisions. While the earlier seasons of RHONY don't have the best fashion choices (reunions in the early 2000s were far more laid back), later seasons had the ladies going all out.
Leah McSweeney: Season 12
Season 12 was Leah's first season as a housewife and she hit the ground running. She was far younger than the other ladies and learned a lot from them as the season went on. Leah was very open about her past and issues with her mental health. She was one of the first truly relatable housewives. Luckily Leah fans, she signed on for the upcoming 13th season.
For the season 12 reunion, Leah's dress was unlike any seen before. It was sheer, sexy, and a cross between lingerie and an evening gown.
Sonja Morgan: Season 11
Sonja Morgan loves to play around with hair, makeup, and clothes when it comes to RHONY reunions. She's not afraid to try new things and usually looks perfectly proper every time. However, season 11's reunion was special, in particular.
She wore a shiny blue dress that hugged her perfectly. The neckline looked amazing with her hair, and just look at those earrings! Sonja is a beloved cast member of the series and is set to join the girls for their 13th season.
Kristen Taekman: Season 7
Model Kristen Taekman was only a part of the show for two seasons but those particular seasons were memorable. Her ongoing feud with Ramona and the issues she had with her marriage were popular storylines during this time.
As a model, Kristen looked stunning in everything she wore but her reunion look for season 7 was perfect. From her long hair to the neckline of the sheer dress, Kristen set herself apart from the others. She knocked this look out of the park.
Heather Thomson: Season 7
Heather Thomson was a main cast member for three seasons before signing on a guest and a friend. Heather was the perfect housewife because she was self-sufficient, a businesswoman, a diehard New Yorker, and she had a house in the Berkshires. She was incredibly interesting.
The seventh season was Heather's last as a housewife and she dressed the part for her last reunion. The green and black dress had a high slit and a low neckline. Her classy hair and makeup paired perfectly with it too.
Ramona Singer: Season 9
Ramona is an OG Housewife. She's been a part of RHONY since season 1, meaning fans know everything there is to know about her. To be fair, her storylines are more of a conversation than her style choices are but her gold dress for season 9 was on-point. She was glowing and looked genuinely happy in her skin.
Season 9 was a particularly hard season for Ramona because she didn't get along with too many of the girls. She and Bethenny were bickering all season, and things got worse when Ramona had information on Luann's then-fiancé, Tom.
Sonja Morgan: Season 9
Sonja ranks again with this magenta dress she wore in season 9. Sonja is very body positive and loves wearing gowns by her own collection. With her understated hair and lack of jewelry, Sonja showed off this dress perfectly. For Sonja Morgan fans, there's nothing Sonja can do wrong. She's the gift that keeps on giving in the RHONY universe.
Luann de Lesseps: Season 12
Luann de Lesseps is another housewife that has been a part of the show since season 1. Viewers have seen her go through a divorce, parenting struggles, a new engagement, another divorce, and a stint in rehab. Luann has been through it all, which is what makes her an iconic housewife.
Lu has a particular sense of style on the show but her black dress for the season 12 reunion was spot-on perfection. The neckline and waist of the dress were simple but looked great on her. This look proves that simplicity is best.
Carol Radziwill: Season 7
Carol Radziwill was such a unique casting choice because of her career outside of RHONY. She was a journalist and married into royalty when she wed John F. Kennedy Jr.'s cousin, Anthony Radziwiłł.
Carol didn't seem like an entertaining enough person for reality TV but opinions soon changed. She held her own against the ladies and always stood up for what was right. She was also far more low-key than housewives like Ramona or Luann. Her mini dress for the season 7 reunion matched Carol's low-key yet glitzy personality.
Dorinda Medley: Season 11
Dorinda was a welcomed addition to the RHONY cast in season 7. She had been friends with a few of the ladies for years and she never backed down from an argument or insensitive comments. Dorinda was one of the only housewives who could handle her own in a verbal altercation without reaching for a friend for support.
As RHONY fans know, Dorinda ended her time on the series after season 12 but everyone's hoping she comes back in the future. She made reality television too good to be forgotten. The same could be said for this gorgeous gold dress.
Bethenny Frankel: Season 10
Bethenny shined like a star during the season 10 reunion. It's not often that fans see the iconic "Skinny Girl" with her hair in a ponytail but this look proved she should do it more often. She looked stunning from head-to-toe. The 10th season of RHONY ended up being Carol Radziwill's last season and considering her up-and-down relationship with Bethenny, this reunion was emotional for the pair.
