The Boys season two, episode 4 trailer reveals Homelander at wit's end. Season two of the Amazon Prime Originals hit premiered last week with the first three episodes. Every new episode will be released on Fridays up until the season finale on October 9th.

The third episode featured two major events. The first was a shocking Stormfront reveal, in which the newest member of the Seven showed her true racist colors, slaughtering a whole building full of people of color as well as Kimiko's brother Kenji. The second was Compound V, the drug Vought International used to create superheroes was finally exposed in the media thanks to Starlight. Homelander had told Stormfront that he would kill Kenji, and does not respond well to the threats to his authority as leader of the Seven. The aftermath of Stormfront's actions and the Compound V reveal appear to have major repercussions for Homelander's psychological state in the upcoming fourth episode.

Amazon Prime released a trailer for the fourth episode of season two. There's a lot of chaos happening in the video, and a lot of it is coming straight from Homelander himself. Check out the official trailer below.

The trailer raises some interesting questions, like the possibility of Homelander kicking A-Train out of the Seven because he thinks A-Train leaked the Compound V sample to the press. It's also evident that Homelander is adamantly against Stormfront attempting to challenge his authority, when she calls out his leadership at a rally. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has said that Homelander's only weakness is psychological attacks, and episode four seems to be chock full of those.

While it's highly unlikely the biggest villain of The Boys will be defeated anytime soon, episode four might reveal more clues as to how to break Homelander down mentally rather than physically. Or, Homelander being at his wits end might result in him being more dangerous than ever. There's a lot going on for Homelander in episode four apparently, but the trailer doesn't reveal if he has any further horrible interactions with Billy Butcher's wife, Becca. He did learn that his son has superpowers and the trailer has Mallory informing Butcher that Becca's in a highly secure Vought facility.

There's a lot of questions the remainder of The Boys season two has to answer. The season has had a strong start so far, and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Homelander might be the most despicable character on the show, but it's hard to deny he's a compelling villain that keeps the stakes high for the rest of the characters. Episode four premieres this Friday, on Amazon Prime.
