Stormfront was a new addition to The Boys in the show's second season, and she's a character who initially made an awesome impression and then made an awful one. She was quite the wolf in sheep's clothing, posing as a hip and socially aware supe who had recently been added to the Seven when in reality she was an elderly Nazi who helped found Vought on an ideology of white supremacy.

And although Ryan brought her to the brink of death at the end of the season, it would appear likely that she's actually still alive. Here's why the show should have let her die, and why it's better that she survived.

Should Have Died: Because The World Doesn't Need Another Supe Like Homelander

The Boys Homelander Finale

Homelander is already terrifying enough. He's an incredibly powerful supe who seems to be impossible to kill, impossible to control, and seems to really enjoy hurting people. And Stormfront fits the exact same bill.

Humankind was in enough danger when Homelander was the only one of his ilk, but having another person who is as powerful as he is that encourages his worst impulses and embraces her own is incomprehensibly dangerous.

Better Alive: Because Her Death Wouldn't Make Sense

While Stormfront was obviously in seriously rough shape after Ryan struck her with his laser beam eyes, it honestly wouldn't have made much sense if she had died from those injuries.

Stormfront has already demonstrated herself to be somewhat immune to Homelander's eyes, so the notion that Ryan could kill her when he hasn't even used his powers before is a bit of a stretch.

Should Have Died: Because She Actually Deserves It

Honestly, at this point there are hardly any characters on The Boys who don't deserve to die for some reason, but in terms of people who earned a horrible, painful death, Stormfront is probably at the top.

In a world of supes who are money grubbers and only out for themselves, Stormfront has managed to distinguish herself by being a truly evil and diabolical person.

Better Alive: Because Her Relationship With Homelander Isn't Over

Homelander and Stormfront are truly a match made in hell, but they also make for incredibly interesting television. Homelander has always wanted to be more than what he is, but he didn't know how to make that happen.

But when he found out the truth about Stormfront, it seemed like he finally found a bigger purpose, even if that bigger purpose was pure evil. The bizarre dynamic between the two of them deserves more exploration.

Should Have Died: Because It's Tragically Unfair To Ryan

After never truly attempting to use his powers before, Ryan figured out how to use one of his gifts because Stormfront was threatening his mother.

However, because he had no experience with his superpowers, Ryan destroyed both Stormfront and Becca. And the fact that Stormfront may not die while Becca did is a really heartbreaking introduction into the world of superpowers for Ryan.

Better Alive: Because Her Story Just Got Interesting

Stormfront The Boys Season 2 Episode 8

Stormfront was introduced at the start of the season as essentially the exact kind of superhero everyone would want to be friends with. So the revelation that she was a literal Nazi who has been alive for decades, working behind the scenes at Vought, was truly shocking.

And although she had an interesting story arc this season, it feels like the surface has only been scratched when it comes to the potential developments and storylines for the character.

But on the flip side, Stormfront needs to go ASAP because she is the darkest, scariest supe that has been seen on The Boys so far.

Vought initially just seemed like a slimy corporation that was trying to profit as much as they could off of superheroes as well as make inroads into the American government and military, but clearly the true purpose of Vought is much worse. And Stormfront is the driving force behind that.

Better Alive: Because She's A Fantastic Villain

Homelander certainly can't be beat when it comes to sociopathic creeper behavior, however his desires and goals now feel a little bit mundane in comparison to Stormfront's.

Not only does Stormfront have the most diabolical plan imaginable, she has also seemingly been doing an excellent job at executing that plan. Vought and her work at Sage Grove is just what the audience knows about now, and now that Vought has disavowed her it would be fascinating to see how she rallies.

Should Have Died: Because She's Extremely Dangerous

The Boys Stormfront Destroys Apartment

The most obvious reason that Stormfront should have died at the end of season 2 is that the longer that she's around, the more likely it is that she will wind up killing one of the characters that fans actually care about.

She's intelligent, she's incredibly powerful, she's resourceful, she's manipulative, she's been playing this game longer than literally anyone else on the planet, and she's too dangerous to leave alive.

Better Alive: Because She Has All The Answers

The best thing about Stormfront's survival after Ryan's brutal attack on her is that she is the only person in the series who has the answers to all of the questions that fans have had since the series began.

She is (presumably) the last living creator of Vought and likely knows all of their dirty little secrets, and it would be a shame if all of that information had to die with her.
