What The Boys’ Season 4 Finale Title Could Mean

The Boys season 4 finale title is particularly interesting, considering the events of The Boys season 3 finale, which also featured a highly impactful assassination from The Deep on Homelander's orders. Amid the chaos of the end of The Boys season 3, Homelander and Victoria Neuman came to terms on a working relationship. Upon that development, Homelander walked up to The Deep and whispered orders into his ear, with the latter responding by asking if he was being tasked with committing treason. That painted a pretty clear picture of what was bound to happen, and it soon became reality when The Deep snuck into Lamar Bishop's home pool and murdered him from underwater.

Bishop was a U.S. Senator who was in line to be Robert Singer's presidential running mate, meaning that the assassination was politically motivated by Homelander and Neuman. With Bishop now out of the way, Neuman will be Singer's new running mate, an announcement that Butcher responded to by saying that she has got to go. Neuman was revealed to be a supe in The Boys season 2, adding more layers to her sympathy for the corruption that Vought and the whole operation bring along with it heading into season 3. She entered politics with the presentation of someone who hoped to hold supes accountable, but over the course of time, her real purpose was unveiled.

By extension, she is also a danger to society and The Boys themselves. The title for The Boys season 4 finale suggests that the next assassination could be that of Victoria Neuman, however this time, it likely won't be the supes making it happen. Instead, it seems like season 4 could be building up to a huge assassination, potentially of Neuman or another political figure, maybe by the team or even a forgotten The Boys supe. Only time will tell when The Boys season 4 arrives on Prime Video sometime later this year.
