Amazon unveils a video officially announcing the wrap of production on The Boys season 3, with Karl Urban calling it the best season yet. The show is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's graphic novels of the same name in which the eponymous team of vigilantes work to expose the super-powered heroes of the world as the villains they really are as they abuse their powers for greedy and nefarious means. Alongside Urban, the cast for The Boys includes Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon and Karen Fukuhara as the titular team as well as Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher and Nathan Mitchell as the superhero group The Seven run by business conglomerate Vought International.

Developed by Eric Kripke, The Boys has been a smash hit for Amazon Prime Video since its debut in July 2019, scoring rave reviews for its writing, humor and the performances of its cast, scoring a season 2 renewal ahead of its premiere. The streaming service would similarly renew the show for season 3 ahead of its return, given the show has become a major ratings hit for Amazon and the first non-Netflix series to break onto the Nielsen Top 10 Streaming Shows list. Due to multiple COVID-19-related delays, production on The Boys season 3 didn't officially get underway until this past February and now the cast and crew have an exciting announcement for fans.
