The Boys season 3 trailer is finally here. The Prime Video show first premiered in 2019 and is based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. When The Boys season 2 aired in 2020, the show exploded in popularity thanks to Prime's decision to release episodes weekly. That, coupled with its irreverent and violent take on the superhero genre, has allowed The Boys to become a staple of Amazon's streaming service, with the company planning on rolling out several spinoffs, including the recently released animated show Diabolical.

When audiences last saw The Boys, the titular team had cleared their names and taken on Stormfront and Homelander, defeating both. Butcher (Karl Urban) was also able to get Ryan, Homelander and Becca's son, away from the evil supe before Ryan is taken in by the CIA. Still, The Boys season 2 ending left a lot of plot threads dangling that will be picked up in season 3, including Homelander's increasingly violent tendencies, Hughie working for congresswoman Neuman unaware that she is the head-exploding assassin, and Annie/Starlight rejoining the Seven.

Now, after over a year of waiting, The Boys season 3 trailer is finally here and it gives audiences a glimpse at the mayhem to come. Set to a catchy song (that hints the season may even include a dance number or two), The Boys season 3 trailer is not sure of bloody fun. From bodies exploding to Butcher throwing up on Hughie's face (possibly after he takes Compound V), there are plenty of secrets hiding in the trailer. Check out the video below:

One of the biggest surprises, and something already hinted at in the first poster for the upcoming batch of episodes, it seems pretty clear now that Butcher will be taking Compound V in The Boys season 3. This falls in line with a story from the comics that sees the titular group take Compound V so they are better equipped to take down the supes they are targeting. Right now, though, it remains to be seen if any of the other members of the squad will take Compound V or not.

Of course, the other major reveal is the first glimpse at Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy in action. One of the most highly anticipated additions to The Boys season 3, Soldier Boy will be joining The Seven and may even rival Homelander in terms of how unhinged he has the potential to be. Additionally, the trailer features the return of Homelander's son Ryan, Black Noir seemingly back in action, and even a parody of Kendall Jenner's infamous Pepsi advertisement. With The Boys slated to debut this June, the mayhem and madness can't come soon enough.
