The Boys has yet to introduce any of the teen heroes from the comics, including Teenage Kix, but season 3 is the perfect time to do so. The Amazon Prime show has established most of the superpowered people (aka, supes) are terribly violent. However, The Boys has so far only explored the Seven, the elite team of supes owned and controlled by Vought.

Hughie, Billy Butcher, and the rest of the Boys have been busy fighting the Seven for two seasons now, all to various degrees of success. At this point, The Boys has explored the members of the group — their strengths and weaknesses, where their loyalties lie, and the lengths they’ll go to maintain their power — with a lot of depth. In the comics, however, the Boys spend an inordinate amount of time fighting a plethora of superheroes beyond just the Seven, including the low-level group Teenage Kix.

In the comics, Teenage Kix are contracted under Vought alongside other superhero teams like Payback. Considering their age, they play to a much younger demographic than the Seven, often breaking more rules and laws than their adult counterparts. The members of Teenage Kix are rowdy, rebellious, and unprincipled. However, similar to the Seven, the public thinks they're do-gooders whose job it is to save the day from bad guys rather than immoral teenagers who do things like scam hospitals out of money.

Teenage Kix in The Boys

Their debauchery makes them targets of the Boys, who blackmail them into revealing their teammate Shout Out is gay. Teenage Kix ultimately finds out about what the Boys did thanks to Homelander, and it leads to a violent confrontation that ends in the defeat of the superhero team. Most of the team’s members are severely injured by the Boys, with Hughie killing Blarney Cock, a deadly member of the team who is later resurrected before being killed again.

Teenage Kix were first mentioned all the way back in The Boys season 1. The now-deceased Popclaw and the Seven’s A-Train were previously members of this teen group before they branched out. Season 3 could introduce them as the Boys’ enemy. It would be a refreshing break from their primary scuffle with the Seven and Vought. After all, the series made it clear the Seven aren’t the only dangerous superheroes out there, and the Boys’ mission in season 3 should be so much more than Butcher’s personal vendetta. What’s more, Teenage Kix could expand upon the established world of The Boys and the extent of Vought’s power. Untamed teenage supes could lead to a host of new problems for the Boys, who could blackmail the teen superheroes for more information on Vought and take a more active role in finally bringing down the powerful corporation.

The Boys hasn’t always been staunchly loyal to the comics, introducing Stormfront as a member of the Seven rather than Payback, the slightly less popular superhero team. That's just one example of the many changes the TV adaptation has made. With that in mind, Teenage Kix don’t have to show up in the same way they did in the comics, but it’s about time for them to appear and wreak havoc.
