The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke confirms season 3 will include the NSFW Herogasm storyline from the comics and reveals when fans can expect it. Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime in 2019 and became the most profane superhero show out there. The series imagines a world where superheroes are treated like modern day celebrities, though their unchecked power has led to immense corruption among the ranks of the biggest supes. The titular Boys are a group of vigilantes who aim to take down the Seven, the most influential superteam in the world.

The Boys is known for its shocking moments of gore and profanity, and last year's season 2 upped the ante in a major way. Within the eight episodes, audiences were treated to a whale being impaled by a speedboat, a supe with a prehensile penis, and numerous exploding heads. All of that seems difficult to top, but The Boys season 3 evidently plans to take things further with Herogasm. In the comics, Herogasm is a yearly event where the world's supes come together for a corporate-sponsored drug-fueled orgy.

Kripke has teased the arrival of Herogasm for a while, and now the writer has taken those teases a step further. "From day one, everyone dared me to make this episode," Kripke wrote on social media alongside a picture of The Boys' season 3, episode 6 script. "CHALLENGE MET MOTHERFUCKERS." That's right: Episode 6 of The Boys' third season is "Herogasm," so now fans know when to expect the NSFW event. The episode is written by Jessica Chou. You can see Kripke's full post down below.

Provided The Boys season 3 sticks with the same episode count as the first two seasons, Herogasm will come right near the end, leaving only two episodes to deal with the fallout. As the name and basic description suggests, The Boys' Herogasm is an extremely filthy occasion, and it'll interesting to see how Kripke and his team manage to pull it off in a way that both honors the comics and doesn't exceed the boundaries of Amazon's content standards. Kripke previously said Amazon didn't censor any part of The Boys season 2, but Herogasm just might break that streak.

One thing Herogasm won't include is the infamous sex scene from the comics between Homelander (Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). Kripke has already confirmed as much, and considering the murky consent issues it raises, that's probably for the best. There's no doubt there will already be plenty of debauchery taking place during Herogasm. It will surely help The Boys maintain its status as television's grossest, most depraved show.
