The Boys season 2 finale saw Stormfront's Nazi origins go public, and that could be used as the perfect set up for Soldier Boy's appearance in season 3. The second season of The Boys might have just wrapped up on Amazon Prime Video, but there is already great anticipation for what will come next. Details on The Boys season 3 are slim at the moment, but it is confirmed that Jensen Ackles is joining the cast to play Soldier Boy.

The satirical superhero approach for The Boys has allowed it to parody many Marvel and DC superheroes, and the addition of Soldier Boy will be its chance to parody Captain America. Soldier Boy is a mantle that many have worn in the comics, and The Boys has already confirmed that he was one of the first Supes created by Vought. He was name-dropped in the season 2 premiere and a statue of him was seen later on in the season. Both of these moments helped set up Soldier Boy joining The Boys season 3, and the season 2 finale might have shown why he is coming back now. It could all be thanks to Stormfront.

The Boys season 2 introduced Stormfront and continued to peel back her history as more episodes were released. While viewers learned early on that she was a racist, it was later revealed to the characters that Stormfront is a Nazi. Stormfront's past became public knowledge during The Boys season 2 finale, as The Boys - with A-Train's help - leaked evidence of her Nazi affiliation. Even though Stormfront is defeated by the end of season 2, the revelation that one of The Seven's members and Vought itself have ties to the Nazis is a terrible development for the company and its superhero empire. The Boys season 3 will need to see them repair their brand, especially in the eyes of Americans, which might explain Soldier Boy entering the picture.

As a classic American superhero who is supposed to represent the true morals of the United States, there is no better time than now for Vought to bring Soldier Boy back. Depending on how The Boys brings him into the fold, Soldier Boy can be the ultimate asset for Vought as they try to suppress ideas that they are tied to Nazis. In addition to his Americana look and public persona, Soldier Boy could've fought Nazis during World War II. Just imagine the PR campaigns Vought will create with such an angle.

If Soldier Boy is used by Vought to fight against the company's and Stormfront's Nazi ties, that will put his actions and behavior - in the past and present - under a microscope. And if there's one thing The Boys has been clear about, it's that no person is perfect, especially Supes. Showrunner Eric Kripke has even teased that Soldier Boy will be among the worst Supes the show has featured, saying he was Homelander before there was a Homelander. Of course, Vought has shown a willingness to overlook the dark sides of their Supes and protect their public image as long as they keep making them money. With the original Supe and possible World War II vet joining The Seven to replace a Nazi, now could be the perfect time for Soldier Boy to return.
