Jensen Ackles has teased the sex-fueled Supe party known as Herogasm in The Boys season 3. Set to premiere in June this year, the show’s highly anticipated third season will introduce Supernatural’s Ackles as the Supe known as Soldier Boy, a parody of Captain America who is touted as being the Homelander before Homelander. His character was first hinted at during season 2, when Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar explained to Homelander that he was an early test subject for the Supe-making Compound V during World War II.

Herogasm, the annual sex party organized for Vought’s collection of not-so-heroic superheroes, has long been teased to play a role in this year’s season. Last year, showrunner Eric Kripke suggested that fans of the comic books will "definitely get the full ‘Herogasm’ experience," and if they showed the full unedited footage, "we for sure would be rated X."  While the season is set to premiere on June 3, it will not be until the show’s sixth episode that the Herogasm storyline will be aired, on June 24.

Most recently, the official Twitter account of The Boys released a clip of Ackles talking about the event during a panel with some of his fellow castmates. While Ackles remains tight-lipped about exactly how the show portrays the Supe orgy, his exact words about the episode are "holy sh*t!" He also recounts a story about walking up to a camera operator who claimed to "have seen some sh*t today" when asked how filming was going. Ever since its original debut in 2019, Kripke and the entire creative team behind The Boys have continually pushed the boundaries of good taste in the name of the show’s warped brand of biting satire. Proving that nothing or no one is off-limits, audiences have already borne witness to the various perverted sexual proclivities of Vought’s superheroes and the sense of entitlement they naturally feel comes along with their abilities. In a show which seems increasingly intent on pushing the boundaries, Herogasm seems like the next natural progression in the show’s hilarious, yet depraved, assault on social norms.

However, Ackles' role in the aforementioned Supe orgy is not entirely clear given the changes being made to his character. In the original comics, Soldier Boy was first introduced in the Herogasm arc as a bumbling character who has sex with Homelander in a bid to join the Seven. This seems unlikely given previous descriptions of Ackles' character, and Kripke himself has even admitted that there will not be a Homelander/Soldier Boy sex scene as there was in the comics. Regardless of Jensen’s involvement or not, The Boys’ take on Herogasm is bound to shock and appall audiences in the best possible way.
