Thanks to Compound V, numerous Supes roam around in The Boys. Some are famous members of the Seven while others are independent, free to cause mayhem while looking over their shoulder for Billy Butcher and his team. Even though the Amazon series is a little less graphic compared to the comics, the Supes still do a lot of wild things.

Most of the powers and abilities demonstrated by the Supes are not new to viewers. In fact, most of them spoof well-known superheroes from the Marvel and DC Universes. It is what the Supes choose to do with these powers that can be downright shocking. After all, the majority of these individuals are not upstanding citizens.

Updated on June 8th, 2022 by Gabby Etzel: The third season of The Boys is off to a jaw-dropping start. The series does not seem to be slowing down when it comes to showing off what humans are capable of doing when injected with Compound V. With brand new Supes joining the cast of characters, the latest episodes have brought viewers even wilder and larger displays of power--Or, in the case of Termite, wilder and smaller ones.

Ezekiel

Choking Hughie From A Distance

Capes For Christ leader chokes Hughie after a blackmail attempt

The Capes For Christ leader is a complex character. He is a homophobic preacher, secretly gay, and also happens to be a Supe who can elongate any part of his body.

In order to get Ezekiel to reveal information about a Compound V shipment, Hughie approaches him after a baptism and threatens to expose his secret life. Even though he is standing fairly close to Hughie, Ezekiel unnecessarily moves several steps back before elongating his hand to choke him. The preacher is clearly just showing off.

Doppelganger

Turning Into Homelander

Doppelganger turns into Hoemlander in order to please him

Doppleganger has quite the unique ability. He can turn himself into anyone. Earlier in the series, he shifts into a woman and sleeps with Senator Calhoun to blackmail him.

His wildest moment comes when he turns into Homelander. He does this to please the leader of the Seven because he is well-aware that one of Homelander's worst traits is his self-obsession. Doppelganger figures Homelander would feel better about Stillwell's death if he gets to make love to someone who looks just like him. While it almost works, Homelander ends up snapping his neck to symbolize killing off the weak and needy side of himself.

Homelander

Bashing Blindspot's Ears In

Homelander bashes Blindpsot's ears

Vought International decides to hire new Supes in season two. A few talented ones are singled out, including Blindspot. Ashley says that the Supe fits a certain demographic, which is good for the company's image. Blindspot is quite talented as he can be seen throwing spears and daggers at the gym with great accuracy despite being blind. His key trait is super hearing.

The Supe is more than excited to see Homelander but when he comes to greet him, the leader of the Seven uses his immense strength to bash his ears in, taking away Blindspot's greatest power. This proves to be an act of power-hungry narcissism when Homelander tells Ashely that only he can decide who joins the Seven.

Popclaw

Accidentally Crushing Her Landlord's Head

Popclaw crashes her landlord's head while getting itimate

Popclaw's time in the series is limited but it sure is interesting. She has a brief relationship with A-Train as one of the worst couples in The Boys. Their days of bliss come to an end when she tells the Boys about Compound V. Angry, A-Train kills her, but not before she can demonstrate her incredible abilities.

Like Wolverine, Popclaw can extend claws from her hands and use them as weapons. She is also seen squat-lifting 900 pounds on her shoulders, alluding to some intense super strength. Her wildest moment happens when her powerful legs accidentally crush the skull of her landlord as he is performing oral sex on her.

Baby Supe

Lasering Security Guards

Billy Butcher uses a baby Supe to laser security guards

Billy Butcher and Mother's Milk once sneak into a secret Vought facility where they discover babies being pumped with Compound V. The future heroes already have some powers, like one baby who can shoot lasers from his eyes. When guards come storming in, Mother's Milk tries to distract them while Butcher quickly comes up with a solution.

Butcher encourages the unnamed Supe infant to laser the guards, and the baby does just that. After setting him back down, Butcher ironically tells the baby to be good when he grows up. It is pretty bizarre that this child already has such a high kill count at only a few months of age, highlighting the power of Compound V.

Victoria Neuman

Pops The Heads Off A Courtroom Full Of People

Congresswoamn Nauman is revealed to be a Supe

Victoria Neuman is first introduced as a morally superior congresswoman eager to bring down the Seven after it is revealed that they are enhanced by Compound V. Only the audience knows, however, that she has a unique power, too — cranial explosion inducement. Neuman can telepathically exert enough pressure on the cerebral tissues, causing one's head to explode.

Before the reveal that she is behind the head popping at the end of season two, there are a few instances of cranial explosion that leaves viewers aching to know who is behind it. One of these occasions is a particularly gory display, where an entire courtroom full of people trying to stop Vought has their heads exploded. Gratuitous and horrific, sure, but before anything else it is an absolutely feral display of power.

Gecko

Letting His Hands Get Hacked For Money

Starlight blackmailing Gecko on The Boys

Annie's childhood friend Gecko has the best regenerative abilities out of all the Supes. Whenever he loses a part of his body, it grows back the same way a gecko's tail does. Thanks to his powers, he is given a job in the labs on 67th in Vought Tower where scientists use him to perform tests.

It seems that the job doesn't pay well as he has another side hustle. From time to time, Gecko allows thrill-seekers with certain preferences to hack off his hands for cash, because they will grow right back. Starlight is his friend, but she still uses Gecko's side gig to blackmail him, which makes very little sense for her. Still, she succeeds in getting him to steal a sample of Compound V from Vought's labs, because even he knows how messed up his actions are.

A-Train

High-Speed Hit-And-Run On Robin Ward

Hughie reacts after Robin is run over by A-Train

Hughie is planning to move in with his girlfriend Robin in the series premiere when a speeding A-Train hits and kills her on the street, making for one of the most gruesome scenes in season one. Vought International forces A-Train to apologize, something he does half-heartedly. The company then offers to compensate Hughie but he opts to join the Boys and get revenge instead.

The incident where A-Train runs through Robin proves just how fast the speedster is.  From the impact, Robin's hands are the only body parts left intact. Hughie is still holding them by the time he processes what happened.

Termite

Blowing Up A Man From Inside His Penis

Termite from The Boys inside another man's body as a miniature sized version of himself, looking around.

In the first episode of season three, audiences come face to face with Termite and face to urethra with the man that he would soon blow up from the inside out. The scene starts rather sexual, with Termite shrinking to fit inside the man's penis.

While attempting to find his prostate, Termite sneezes. This causes him to shoot back up to his normal size while still inside the man. His expansion leads the man's bottom half to literally explode. Termite is abhorred by his own actions, screaming at the pile of guts and gore that he sees on the bed. The moment is all around shocking and revolting, for the characters and audience alike.

Lamplighter

Self-Immolation

Lamplighter sets himself on fire inside Vought towers

A former member of the Seven, Lamplighter, is gifted with pyrokinesis. He has the ability to control fire. He doesn't enjoy staying at the Green Grove Center, as he misses being a member of the Seven. However, he regrets his past evil actions, too, something that leads him to self-immolation.

Hughie convinces Lamplighter to accompany him to Vought Tower to rescue Starlight since he is familiar with the layout. It turns out Lamplighter doesn't intend to come back alive. After staring at a mural of the Seven and realizing his statue was removed, he self-immolates. Left with no choice, Hughie uses Lamplighter's charred hand to bypass the locks, putting the gory results of his actions into perspective.
