Warning! Spoilers for The Boys comic book series below

One of the Supes in The Boys was nerfed like no other when they made the transition from the comics to live-action, as Stormfront actually rivaled Homelander in powers in their original portrayal. While Stormfront was a powerful character in The Boys television series, in the comics, they not only were near the same level as Homelander but actually were part of what made the leader of The Seven so strong, to begin with.

In The Boys comic book series, Stormfront is one of the strongest Supes in the universe, as the Nazi is a dark parody of DC's Shazam and Marvel's Thor. However, when the character was adapted into the live-action series, the character became nearly unrecognizable. Not only was Stormfront genderswapped, as actress Aya Cash brilliantly portrayed them, but the Supe's powers were considerably nerfed. In the comics, Stormfront was one of the most depraved, powerful Supes - whose connection to Homelander proved why he was on his level. In the show, that wasn't the case at all.

In The Boys comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Homelander is actually the product of Stormfront, as the Supe was made by Vought-American using the Nazi's DNA. So it makes sense why Homelander is so powerful, as Stormfront's superpowers, including the ability to manipulate electricity and lightning, make him one of the strongest Supes. However, even The Boys have trouble taking down Stormfront, as he puts The Female in a coma while hurting the other members of the team during their attack on Payback.

Stormfront Attacks Mother's Milk - The Boys

While the version of Stormfront in The Boys television series is certainly powerful and often holds her own in battles against other Supes, she never quite reached the same heights as her comic counterpart. Her lightning powers don't hit nearly as hard. In The Boys comic series, Stormfront ranks among Homelander, Queen Maeve, and Black Noir as the universe's most powerful Supes. Being used as the template to create Homelander shows how strong he truly is. Ultimately, Soldier Boy stepped in as his replacement in the live-action series, as he became Homelander's "father,' as the Stormfront got nerfed. Although it makes sense The Boys series didn't want to tie Homelander's creation directly with the Nazi Supe like it was in the comics.

Stormfront getting nerfed in The Boys' live-action series was probably for the best, as adapting the version of the Supe directly from the comics would have made the character much darker and possibly too powerful. However, the changes meant, unlike in The Boys comics, Stormfront never rivaled Homelander when it came to powers. It would have been fun to see her at her full power level.
