The Boys season 4's new Supes on The Seven team could be explained through the Gen V spinoff. Vought's powerful superteam is set to look very different after the conclusion of season 3. Starlight (Erin Moriarty) quit the Seven after finally getting fed up with the company, while Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) faked her death to get out of the group. The Boys season 3 even saw Homelander (Antony Starr) kill Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), although he will return from the dead somehow in season 4. This still leaves room for a few new Supes to join The Seven in The Boys, with Sister Sage and Firecracker the replacements.

Confirmation that Sister Sage and Firecracker are joining The Boys season 4 came with the news that they are set to join The Seven, which is now firmly under Homelander's leadership. It is no surprise that Vought chose two women Supes to replace Starlight and Maeve, but the process of picking which ones would do so is unclear. The Boys universe has used several different explanations for how a Supe moves up to join The Seven, such as a general interview process and winning American Hero. However, The Seven's new Supes in The Boys season 4 could actually connect to Gen V potentially.

Gen V Can Set Up The Seven’s New Members In The Boys Season 4

The Boys spinoff show Gen V's college setting could be used to set up The Seven's new members. The entire idea behind the series is that Godolkin University School of Crimefighting is a place where young Supes go to be part of Vought's system to train the next generation of heroes. However, it is also meant to be a place that helps facilitate the growth of candidates to join The Seven. This has been teased through A-Train's connection to the college. Gen V could also then reveal that Firecracker and Sister Sage were students at Godolkin prior to joining The Seven in The Boys season 4.

Even though Firecracker and Sister Sage are confirmed to be new members, there is not much known about either of them. These two new Supes are not from Garth Ennis' comics, at least by these names. This means that The Boys season 4 might need to spend some time explaining to audiences how they connect to the larger universe on Prime Video. If this means inventing origins for both characters, the timing of their introduction coming after Gen V creates the perfect opportunity for a natural connection between The Boys season 4 and the spinoff to emerge. It also creates a tease of the possible future for Gen V's characters.

Gen V Characters Could Appear In The Boys Season 4

The potential link between Firecracker and Sister Sage's origins and Gen V's college could be another way to strengthen the ties between the shows. It is already confirmed that a few The Boys characters will appear in the spinoff, such as A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), and Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne). This makes sense as a way to help boost interest in Gen V, but more people could check out the spinoff if the show's main characters then return in The Boys season 4.

This has already happened in secret, as Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) was referenced in The Boys season 3. Her photo was in Red River Institute's database of kids, but she will be featured in Gen V as one of the main characters. It is possible, if not likely, that Marie could return for The Boys season 4. Other characters from the spinoff such as Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) could also make appearances potentially as The Seven's search for new members takes place.
