The additional content for the Nintendo Switch port of Super Mario 3D World brings Mario back to his collect-a-thon roots. Instead of focusing on reaching the end of the level and touching the flag pole, Mario must collect dozens of hidden Cat Shines scattered all around Lake Lapcat. Mario and Bowser Jr. must work together to save Bowser from his corruption. In order to collect every Cat Shine available in the game, players will need to reunite the Toad Brigade. The Toad Brigade has been a staple in the Mario series since the release of Super Mario Galaxy. When exploring the cosmos, Mario (or Luigi) will occasionally run into a group of 4 Toads exploring deep space. They either provide the player with a star or just good conversation. They have reappeared in several titles and even received an entire game with Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker. Now, they make an appearance in Bowser's Fury. Where To Find The Toad Brigade in Bowser's Fury
The Toad Brigade is broken up into 4 different members. Here is where players can find them all.
- Captain Toad: On a small island on Scamper Shores. Players will need to defeat the enemies surrounding the island to save him.
- Yellow Toad: Underneath Slipskate Slope.
- Blue Toad: At the top of Mount Magmeow. Players will need to defeat the bird enemy to save him.
- Green Toad: Located at the northern end of Lake Lapcat. Players will need to be able to cross over the black goop.
Each Toad Brigade member will provide the player with a Cat Shine. Not only that but once the group is reunited, players will be able to find Toadette on Fur Step Island. Players will want to collect every Cat Shine in the game in order to unlock the game's secret ending. Collecting them all will unlock a new phase in the Bowser battle and unlock the bonus ending. It might take players well over 6 hours to collect every Cat Shine available in Lake Lapcat. This has been one of the best content additions to come from a Wii U port on the Nintendo Switch.
