Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Boruto #74Despite being confronted with an existential threat, Naruto and Boruto have one surefire way to ensure the security of Konoha Village. The problem is whether they are willing to use it, and what the costs of its use might be.

Fearful of what an uninhibited Code and the remaining members of Kara have planned for Konoha Village, Naruto, Sasuke, and Shikamaru decide to recruit Code's former Kara teammates, Eida, Daemon, and Amado. On the one hand, all three would be immensely valuable allies against any forces Code can muster. On the other hand, gaining their support means Konoha has three fewer threats to worry about. As illustrated in Boruto Chapter 74, however, their plan has a major flaw. Eida and Daemon's abilities are so overpowered, that if anything goes wrong in their recruitment efforts, Konoha will face a threat as big as Kayuga's resurrection. Unfortunately, as a result of Naruto and Sasuke losing a great deal of power, they'll be much less likely to save the day.

In the event, the situation goes sideways, Naruto and Boruto are not completely out of options. They could always ask Momoshiki to help. In fact, the Momoshiki option would completely neutralize Eida as a threat and quite possibly do the same to Daemon. Naturally, the problem with this option is the difficult history between Momoshiki, Naruto, Sasuke, and Konoha Village as a whole. Momoshiki almost killed Naruto, token possession of Boruto, and caused Sasuke to lose his ultra-powerful Rinnegan, not to mention he put all of Konoha at risk. In addition, there is the issue of trust. Momoshiki has never done anything, including his revival of Boruto after Kawaki killed him, for purely selfless reasons. So any deal for support would surely have its "cost". Despite these obstacles, the threat that Eida and Daemon present should generate enough pressure on both sides to facilitate some sort of agreement. Whatever deal they create could not be worse than inviting Eida and Daemon into the village without a viable backup plan other than, "don't make her angry".

Momoshiki Holds the Key to Beating Eida

Momoshiki-Otsutsuki-Naruto-1

Momoshiki is an Otsutsuki, one of the two types of beings (the other being blood relatives) who are impervious to Eida's charms. This is most likely because Eida was created by Amado when he was working for Momoshiki's fellow clan member Isshiki. Isshiki certainly would not have wanted Amado to create an underling that would be more powerful than him, and so most likely got Amado to put in that fail-safe. This is also why it's likely that Momoshiki would be able to defeat Daemon. That is, whatever strengths he possesses, they would not be so powerful as to defeat an Otsutsuki. There is also the fact that Momoshiki is an incredibly skilled and experienced fighter who can also operate in other dimensions, which at present does not seem to be a power that Eida and Daemon have.

The only practical obstacle to Momoshiki riding in to save the day is how he would manifest. While he seemingly "died" saving Boruto, he is still present such that Kawaki and Sasuke can sense his presence. Moreover, he regularly communicates with Boruto, who is now bio-spiritually more Otsutsuki than Uzumaki. This means that he'll most likely manifest in or by Boruto, which is another reason that might make Naruto think twice about the option. But if there is anything the Hokage has shown himself to be over the years, it's his tactical shrewdness. With a threat as scary as an upset Eida and Daemon, Naruto should understand that he and Boruto need every bit of help they can get.
