With all the unique and insane enemies Psycho Krieg has come up within Borderlands 3's newest DLC, players still wouldn't have dreamt of fighting the locomotive Locomöbius. Yes, that's right, this boss is an actual train. Locomöbius is a tough enemy as he has lots of passengers he'll drop off to keep the player at bay.

This boss can be battled near the end of the What Love Remains quest to help Psycho Krieg release Maya from her cage. As the train, yes the train, was the one who kidnapped Maya. This fight will start after Psycho Krieg has picked up Maya's book and returned it to her. Players will have to traverse the train tracks several times before they reach Locomöbius, so he should be fairly easy to find.

How to Beat Locomöbius in Borderlands 3

All of the What Love Remains quest is within the Sapphire's Run. Most of this entire area is based around that quest or other things about Maya, so unless the player is purposely avoiding the quest, it should be fairly easy to start pursuing. Players will encounter Locomöbius several times before the final boss fight. Each time, the player will have to avoid being hit, but not truly fight the train. Instead, he may or may not throw out its minions to attack the player each time that they encounter him.

Locomöbius, aside from being a train and carrying passengers that he drops on the player, zooms in and out of the main room players fight him in the boss fight. Due to this, it can be difficult to get shots off on him. He does, however, create a loud train horn noise before appearing through the various portals, giving players a short warning. Players should make sure to aim at his critical points like the train's underbelly. Locomöbius is also more susceptible to corrosive damage, so players should take consider that before even entering Sapphire's Run.

Maya will also be able to hold the train in place every once in a while as part of her ability as a siren. This will give the player an extra chance to hit the train several times in a row. Players should save up their special attacks for this moment, as there isn't any other moment in combat where Locomöbius will stay in one spot. After players defeat Locomöbius, they will have officially freed Maya and effectively finished the What Love Remains quest.
