How To Enter SHiFT Codes into Borderlands 3
Redeeming SHiFT codes in Borderlands 3 can be done in two ways. The main method is in-game: simply pause the game and navigate to the SHiFT menu within the pause screen tabs. Enter the desired code into the spaces, and click submit. If successful, the Golden Keys will be sent to the Vault Hunters mailbox inside the pause menu for access at anytime.
The secondary method is through the Gearbox Software website. Navigate to the code redemption area, and enter the code. Using the website does require a Gearbox SHiFT account, and players have to specify which platform they would like the keys to be sent to. Once finished, the keys should be available in a player's Vault Hunters mailbox in-game.
Using the golden keys in Borderlands 3 is a simple procedure. Once acquired, simply walk to the Golden Chest in the center hub of Sanctuary III, and press the action button to automatically open the chest and unveil the random loot inside. Loot acquired this way will be equal to, or slightly higher, than the player's current level, so holding on to Golden Keys until reaching higher Borderlands 3 levels is recommended to gain the best loot for each Vault Hunter.
