The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison teases that the upcoming Disney+ series will answer many Star Wars questions from over the years. The new show comes as the latest small screen expansion of the iconic sci-fi franchise, which began with The Mandalorian and will continue with the Rosario Dawson-led Ahsoka, the Ewan McGregor-starring Obi-Wan KenobiRogue One spin-off AndorThe Acolyte from Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland and a Lando Calrissian series from Dear White People's Justin Simien. Development on The Book of Boba Fett has undergone various iterations, beginning as an anthology film before the financial failure of Solo: A Star Wars Story saw all anthology titles put on hiatus.

The Book of Boba Fett will pick up sometime after the events of The Mandalorian season 2, in which the character was confirmed to still be alive, as he and assassin Fennec Shand begin attempting to make a name for themselves in the galaxy's criminal underworld by taking over territory once owned by Jabba the Hutt. Morrison returns to lead the cast of the series alongside fellow Mandalorian alum Ming-Na Wen as Fennec and Jennifer Beals as an unidentified Twi'lek. The Book of Boba Fett once again hails from The Mandalorian duo Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau as well as director Robert Rodriguez, who helmed multiple episodes of the series.

See what Morrison said below:

"There will definitely be a number of answers. Some long-winded answers. Some short and sharp answers. Some colorful answers. We're filling a lot of gaps."

Morrison's promise that The Book of Boba Fett will answer multiple burning Star Wars fan questions is sure to come as exciting news for those who have been anxiously awaiting the show's arrival for the past year. The biggest question on all audiences' minds is of course how exactly Boba Fett survived and recovered from being thrown into the Sarlacc pit in Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi. A recent Book of Boba Fett trailer offered the first glimpse at a potential explanation for his recovery, seemingly having been saved by Tusken Raiders and put into a bacta tank to heal.

Outside of his survival from the Sarlacc, Star Wars fans have been building a number of other questions since The Mandalorian first started teasing Boba Fett's return in season 1. Though Morrison recently revealed his concerns that The Book of Boba Fett would reveal too much of the bounty hunter's background, his confidence in the tease of answers coming from the series seem to point towards an interesting balance of backstory and new lore. Only time will tell when the show hits Disney+ on December 29.
