Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett episode 3.

The Book of Boba Fett episode 3 includes a sneaky cameo from one of The Mandalorian's characters. Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) returned to the Star Wars franchise in a big way when The Mandalorian season 2 began. It confirmed that he survived the Sarlacc Pit and reclaimed his armor, which allowed Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni the opportunity to set up a spinoff focused on the former bounty hunter. The Book of Boba Fett picks up almost immediately after The Mandalorian season 2 post-credits as Boba Fett takes control of Tatooine's criminal landscape.

Throughout the first several episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, the show has featured various connections to Star Wars' first Disney+ show. Outside of the co-starring role for Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), though, that hasn't included appearances by characters from The Mandalorian. It wasn't expected that Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) would appear, but many viewers anticipated a bit more crossover with the cast considering they take place at the same time—and since The Book of Boba Fett has been compared to The Mandalorian season 2.5.

Thanks to The Book of Boba Fett episode 3, viewers did manage to catch a glimpse at a familiar face from The Mandalorian. During the flashback portion of the episode, Boba Fett travels to Mos Eisely to discuss business with the Pyke Syndicate. He passes a familiar sight of Stormtrooper helmets on spikes, which was seen in The Mandalorian. It is during this section of The Book of Boba Fett episode 3 that Amy Sedaris' Peli Motto sneakily appears in the background. The cameo is quick and doesn't feature a proper look at Peli Motto, but the character design, location, and her accompanying droids make the show's intentions clear that this is a Mandalorian cameo.

Book of Boba Fett Episode 3 Mandalorian Character Cameo Peli Motto

Amy Sedaris' Peli Motto first appeared in The Mandalorian episode 5, as Din Djarin needed her help. Peli Motto quickly became a trusted ally for Din, and Sedaris' comedic work as the character made her stand out to viewers. It came as no surprise, then, when she returned in The Mandalorian season 2, where she was featured in two episodes. It was Peli Motto who sent Din to find Cobb Vanth in his search for more Mandalorians, which ultimately led to Din and Boba crossing paths.

Even though The Book of Boba Fett episode 3 only includes the Mandalorian character as a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo, there is the opportunity for Peli Motto to play a proper role in the series. Following the deaths of the Tusken Raiders, Boba could return to the Pykes for payment once he wipes out the Nikto Sand Riders. This could be a chance for Boba to cross paths with Peli Motto. She could be the one to point him in the direction of his old armor, leading him to his debut in The Mandalorian season 2. There are other possible scenarios for more Mandalorian characters to appear too, so Peli Motto might not be the only familiar face featured in The Book of Boba Fett's upcoming episodes.
