Ming-Na Wen previews Fennec Shand's costume on the upcoming Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett. Last December, Lucasfilm announced that in the wake of The Mandalorian's immense success, it would be developing numerous other Star Wars shows for Disney+. While most of the in-development projects were shared at the time, the studio had one more surprise up its sleeve. The Mandalorian's season 2 finale revealed fan favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) would be getting his own spin-off. Titled The Book of Boba Fett, the series will premiere around Christmastime.

Agents of SHIELD star and all-around Disney legend Wen made her Star Wars debut in the first season of The Mandalorian as Fennec Shand, a skilled sharpshooter. Though Fennec appeared to die within her first episode, season 2 brought the surprise that she had been revived by Boba Fett and now acted as his right-hand woman. Fennec will appear in The Book of Boba Fett alongside him, picking up with the Mandalorian post-credits tease that saw the two of them taking over Jabba the Hutt's base of operations.

Before that, though, Fennec made the jump to animation with a role on Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Screen Rant received the opportunity to talk to Wen about that Disney+ series, but we also couldn't resist asking about The Book of Boba Fett. When it comes to Fennec Shand's costume for the new series, Wen managed to give us a preview of what's to come:

Well, she likes her outfit a lot, because she wears it quite often. She’s kind of like the Einstein of bounty hunters. She has only one outfit everyday that she wears. I can tell you that much!

The Mandalorian Fennec Shand

Shand's black and orange helmet has quickly become part of her signature look, and it sounds like it will return once more on The Book of Boba Fett along with her dark tactical clothes. Though some might be disappointed to hear she isn't getting an upgrade in the costume department, she's in good company. The Mandalorian's Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) keeps the same suit of armor, and now that Boba Fett has been reunited with his own pieces, he'll probably wear them frequently as well. Still, there could perhaps be some new details in Shand's costume for fans to find within The Book of Boba Fett.

Much of the plot for The Book of Boba Fett remains under wraps, so it isn't quite clear what kind of role Fennec will have on the series. While much of the attention will be on Fett and his original trilogy past, the Mandalorian credits scene hinted Fennec Shand will be something of a secondary lead. With The Bad Batch further filling out her past, The Book of Boba Fett can add new shades to Wen's character. Just don't expect it to give her a new costume.
