Created by Hart Hanson, and loosely based on the life and novels of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs who produced the show, Bones follows forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, her team of scientists at the Jeffersonian Institue, and FBI Special Agent Seely Booth. The team dealt with all kinds of mysteries surrounding human remains in various states of decay. With just the right amount of mystery, drama, action, and comedy, Bones was a big hit.

The show ran for a total of twelve seasons and remained quality TV all the way to the finale, which doesn't happen all that often. It's been two years since Bones went off the air, so we decided to check up on the cast.
PATRICIA BELCHER
Patricia Belcher’s portrayal of Caroline Julian, a prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s office who often worked with Booth and the Squints, is definitely one of the most memorable of all recurring characters to appear on Bones. Demanding, sarcastic, bossy, and above all sassy, Caroline was even able to overpower Dr. Brennan. She appeared in all twelve seasons of Bones and has played an important role in both the professional and private lives of the main characters.
After Bones ended, Belcher had a recurring role as Judge E. Horsedich (pronounced 'Heisendike') on NBC’s short-run comedic legal mockumentary Trial & Error and has since guest-starred on a couple of TV shows.
PEJ VAHDAT
Pej Vahdat joined Bones in season four as Arastoo Vaziri, one of Dr. Brennan’s many interns at the Jeffersonian Institute. Over time, Arastoo developed a romantic relationship with Dr. Camille Saroyan and the couple eventually decided to get married and adopt three children.
Since his time on Bones, Vahdat has made a number of guest appearances on various TV shows, including Lucifer, The Good Doctor, and Elementary. Currently, he’s got roles on Empire, NCIS, and fans of the Arrowverse will probably remember seeing him on Arrow. He’s also set to appear in NBC’s upcoming drama series The Village.
TAMARA TAYLOR
Dr. Camille Saroyan was one of the main characters on Bones from season 2 onwards. Portrayed by Tamara Taylor, Cam was the Head of the Forensic Division at Jeffersonian Institute. Though she didn’t quite get off on the right foot with the team, she quickly became a crucial and beloved member of the team.
Once Bones ended, Tamara Taylor got a recurring role on Netflix’s cyberpunk series Altered Carbon. Taylor portrayed Oumou Prescott, the powerful and intelligent lawyer who represented Laurens Bancroft, the 300-year-old rich dude who hired Takeshi (the main character) to solve his murder. Taylor is also set to star in Netflix's upcoming adaptation of the graphic novel October Faction.
CARLA GALLO
In season four, Bones introduced a number of Squinterns that were supposed to take the place of Zack Addy. Daisy Wick was one of them. Portrayed by Carla Gallo, Daisy had the tendency to blurt out everything that crossed her mind, which annoyed everyone around her, especially Dr. Brennan whom she desperately wanted to impress. Her behavior got her in trouble on numerous occasions and even got her fired a couple of times. Though, to be fair, she became somewhat more tolerable towards the end.
In season 10, Daisy married Lance Sweets, but their marriage ended tragically when Sweets was killed before he even got to meet their unborn son. Recently, Carla Gallo appeared on two episodes of Hulu’s Future Man.
LUKE KLEINTANK
The seventh season of Bones introduced yet another bright, young intern for Dr. Brennan to train, Finn Abernathy portrayed by Luke Kleintank. Though this particular Squintern didn’t get the warmest welcome, mostly due to his criminal record, they eventually warmed up to him. Finn and Hodgins developed a close friendship and even had nicknames for each other.

Once his turn on Bones was finished, it did not take long for Kleintank to land a leading role in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle, where he portrayed a Nazi agent, Joe Blake. The final season of The Man in the High Castle will premiere in 2019, so if you're missing Kleintank and want to binge a great show, here's your chance.
RYAN CARTWRIGHT
Portrayed by Ryan Cartwright, Vincent Nigel-Murray was – according to Dr. Brennan – the most intelligent intern. He firmly believed that facts are building blocks of everything and had a tendency to blurt out random facts virtually all the time, especially under stress. Unfortunately, Mr. Nigel-Murray was killed by Jacob Broadsky in the season six finale. If you're a Bones fan, or particularly a Vincent Nigel-Murray fan, the song "The Lime in the Coconut" probably makes you a bit sad.

The actor who portrayed Vincent has since appeared on numerous TV shows, including The Big Bang Theory, Warehouse 13, and Mom. Cartwright even landed main roles in Alphas and Kevin Can Wait, though both shows lasted only two seasons.
STEPHEN FRY
Remember that time Booth shot a clown? Well, he shot the speaker of an ice-cream truck that looked like a clown, but the FBI would let him off the hook regardless. That little stunt got him sent to a shrink. Enter Dr. Gordon Wyatt, or as Booth likes to call him, Gordon Gordon. Portrayed by Stephen Fry, Gordon Gordon appeared on a number of Bones episodes.
As you may imagine, being a comedian, actor, activist, and writer, Stephen Fry is a rather busy man. Since his time on Bones, Fry published books, appeared on TV shows, and voiced characters in video games, among other things. From 2015 to 2019, Stephen Fry voiced Colonel K on the British animated series Danger Mouse.
JOEL DAVID MOORE
The most enigmatic of the Squinterns, Colin Fisher, was among the many interns that were introduced in season four. Dr. Fisher was portrayed by Joel David Moore and he will mostly be remembered for his extremely pessimistic remarks. His hilariously cynical lines include gems like, "life is always the cause of death."

Joel David Moore recently appeared on an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is set to reprise his role as Norm Spellman in James Cameron’s upcoming Avatar sequels. Fun fact, in "The Gamer in the Grease," Sweets, Hodgins, and Fisher camp out in a theater line to see Avatar.
JOHN FRANCIS DALEY
John Francis Daley joined the cast of Bones in season three as the FBI psychologist assigned to Booth and Brennan after Booth arrested Bones' father and brother. Dr. Lance Sweets quickly became a fan-favorite character and a valuable member of the crime-solving team. Sweets found the relationship between Booth and Brennan so fascinating that he even wrote a book about them.
Currently, John Francis Daley is busy working on movies as a writer, screenwriter, and director. Together with Jonathan Goldstein, Daley worked as a co-story writer for MCU's Spider-Man: Homecoming, and co-directed the 2018 comedy movie Game Night, in which Daley has a cameo as a chess player named Carter.
DAVID BOREANAZ
The Mulder to Brennan’s Scully, as Booth himself has once put it, FBI Special Agent Seely Booth was portrayed by the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, David Boreanaz. Boreanaz jumped into the role of Seely Booth right after his Buffy spin-off series Angel came to an end, and he spent twelve years playing bodyguard to Bones and her Squints.
Booth didn't quite fit in with the Squints, what with being street-smart and sociable, but he still managed to befriend the Squints and make the Jeffersonian his home. When the show ended, Boreanaz landed a leading role in CBS’s military drama SEAL Team, where he plays a Navy Seal, Jason Hayes. SEAL Team is currently in its second season and so far, has gotten pretty good reviews.
