It was a sad day for The Bold Type fans when it was announced that the Freeform series would end after its fifth season, which is set to premiere on May 26, 2021. Unlike past seasons, the final season will only have six episodes, and will hopefully give its beloved characters the perfect send-off.
Though the show was inspired by the life of former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles, the plot has mostly focused on the younger characters with Jacqueline — the character inspired by Coles — appearing as a supporting character. The characters are indeed bold and so are the cast members, as seen in their fabulous Instagram accounts.
Stephen Conrad More - 15 K
Stephen Conrad More portrays Oliver Grayson, the head of the fictional Scarlet magazine's fashion department and a total perfectionist. Though Grayson's requests tend to feel like burdens to the main characters, he always means well.
Just as he Grayson an eye for fashion on the show, More is the same way in real life. His Instagram page is full of casual yet chic menswear. Nikohl Boosheri - 101 K
Iranian American actress Nikohl Boosheri plays photographer and artist Adena in the series. Her character has a complicated relationship with Kat though the two always try to work things out. Boosheri has also had supporting roles in TV shows such as Supergirl and Altered Carbon.
Photography and art don't seem to be limited to Boosheri's character only. Judging from the actor's Instagram account, she does enjoy taking artsy photos. She is a lover of books too, often posting pictures of herself in libraries.
Dan Jeannotte -113 K
On the show, Dan Jeannotte is quite likable as the published author Ryan, who also happens to be Jane's on-and-off love interest. The actor's CV is quite impressive, having had appeared in blockbusters such as Death Race and Red 2 as well as recurring roles in the TV shows Reign and Designated Survivor.
There is much to look at on Jeannotte's Instagram page, from photos of art to nature to books. Jeannotte never forgets to show love for his fellow cast members, too. He has dozens of photos of himself goofing around with his co-stars.
Sam Page - 130 K
Sam Page portrays the affluent Richard Hunter, a Scarlet magazine board member, as well as counsel for Safford Publishing, the house that owns the magazine. The actor has plenty of experience in the industry as well as this particular genre, having appeared in shows such as Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives.
Most of Page's photos are about his wife and kids, which is quite adorable. He doesn't share much about his career, leaving work in the workplace.
Melora Hardin - 165 K
There are plenty of horrible bosses in movies and TV shows but Melora Hardin's character Jacqueline isn't one of them. The editor-in-chief is well-liked by her juniors. She might not be a huge star, but Hardin's body of work is impressive. Having begun her acting career in 1976, the actor has over 300 movie and TV credits.
On social media, she is all about living the simple life. She alternates between posting about her work and her personal life. She enjoys throwing in a TBT photo too from time to time, reminding younger fans that she is not new to this.
Tom Austen - 326 K
Tom Austen was introduced in the latest season as a bartender whom Kat falls in love with. Away from The Bold Type, he's had key roles in a couple of historical dramas, including The Borgias and The Royals.
Judging from his Instagram page, Austen loves nature but also looking good in a suit. Next James Bond?
Aisha Dee - 397,000
Fans of the show know Aisha Dee as Kat Edison, the one-time social media director at Scarlet. This is Dee's breakout role as the projects she worked on before were mostly Australian shows.
A couple of ukulele videos can be spotted on Dee's page. She is a part-time singer, after all. She has a very good relationship with her co-stars, too. The numerous behind-the-scenes photos and general hangouts are a reminder that the cast members are as cool as the characters they portray.
Meghann Fahy - 428 K
Fahy probably gets referred to as Sutton everywhere she goes. The actress portrays the Scarlet fashion stylist who gets into a relationship with one of her bosses. This is the first major TV role of Fahy's career.
As seen on her Instagram, the actor is into politics and activism. She supports causes such as Black Lives Matter as well as the Democratic Party. Fahy is a beach person too and a traveler in general. She's also a proud family woman, and her numerous declarations of love to her niece are quite adorable.
Katie Stevens - 778 K
Katie Stevens plays writer Jane Sloan, who is also one of the best friends one could ever ask for. The actor is also quite a talented singer. She appeared in American Idol back in 2010 where she gave an impressive showing and finished among the top eight contestants.
Her pictures show that she and her husband as thrill-seekers, as they enjoy hiking on cliffs. When they aren't doing that, they are just taking cool photos together. Stevens also appears to enjoy a nice glass of wine from time to time. And since she loves her work, updates about the show never miss.
Raven Symone - 2.6 M
Symone was introduced in Season 4 as beauty influencer Alice Knight. Her appearance at the top of the list isn't a surprise. She already had a huge fanbase before that, having been a child star and breaking out with the Disney Channel sitcom That's So Raven. Away from acting, Symone sings too. She also hosted the daytime talk show The View in 2015.
Interestingly, there isn't much to see on her page. As of the time this article is written, she only has about 30 posts. Hopefully, there'll be much more from her in the future.
