Though Bob's Burgers may be one of the most Hufflepuff shows to exist (based on its emphasis on being your own person, kindness, and family bonds,) that does not mean that each and every single character within the show will belong to said house. The only place that one can find a large group of people who all belong to the same house is within the common room for said house.

Each character is a unique and well-rounded person with their own desires, values, motivations, and personalities. Today we will explore eight of the main characters from the beloved animated sitcom Bob's Burgers and will attempt to sort them into their perfect Hogwarts house.

Louise- Slytherin

Louise is a Slytherin through and through. She places her goals, ambitions, and priorities above all else and is not above manipulating, hurting, and misusing people in order to get what she wants. She wants success, money, and to get her way and everyone in her life is nothing more than a pawn in her many schemes. And if someone stands in her way, they will be eliminated.

Yes, she does protect her loved ones when an outside force threatens them. But this stems from a Slytherin-style tribal nature rather than chivalry or a need to do what is right.

Bob- Hufflepuff

Though Bob does run his own business and can get rather competitive at times, he is, overall, happy with where he is in life. He does not really have anything to prove to anyone and his more aggressive moments tend to come from his need to protect his family from others.

Bob is loyal to those around him and sometimes he does tend to take this loyalty a bit too far and ends up in a bit of a pickle. He is one of the rarer hot-headed Hufflepuffs (who can often be mistyped as Gryffindors.) Meaning that one should never insult a member of the Belcher family in front of Bob because he is prone to taking his sense of loyalty to an extreme in order to defend and protect his own.

Gene- Hufflepuff

The thing that we love about those who belong to the Hufflepuff house is the fact that they have nothing to prove to anyone. Gryffindors like to prove how they are the bravest and best of them all. Ravenclaws like to be the top of the class and the first to raise their hand after a question is asked. Slytherins like to be successful in their goals and prove that they are also the best of them all (and one can easily see where the conflict between Gryffindor and Slytherin comes from.) But those who belong to the Hufflepuff house are content with simply being themselves.

Gene is content with being exactly who he is. He will always be there for loved ones, in his own way, and is willing to do things that don't necessarily appeal to him in order to help them out. But he is going to do so in his own way. The only thing Gene has to be is himself.

Jimmy Pesto- Slytherin

There are some people that are able to break the stereotypes associated with their house while also being a perfect fit for said house. Hermione Granger is a stubborn and brash Gryffindor who is also the top of the class. Neville Longbottom is a chivalrous and brave Gryffindor who is also known for being rather hesitant to action and timid at times. And then there are the people who embody each and every single stereotype associated with their respective house. Jimmy Pesto is one of those people.

He is Slytherin through and through. He wants to have the best restaurant on the block and is willing to do anything to make it so, even change his own name in order to make his food appear more authentic. He is constantly cutting down his competition and attempts to prevent his children from associating with his personal enemies.

Mort- Ravenclaw

Though Bob's Burgers may be the perfect show for the Hufflepuffs of the world, that does not mean that every character with in the show will belong to said house. Mort is the perfect example of this as his traits, values, and motivations earn him a permanent place in the Ravenclaw common room.

Mort is the definition of the eccentric guy next store. He creates the perfect funeral for each and every one of his customers, lives life on his own terms and does not let anyone change how he wants to live it, and is the voice of reason to the Belcher family more often than not. He is intelligent, creative, and eccentric in his behaviour; three of the many traits that define those in the Ravenclaw house.

Tina- Ravenclaw

Though her awkward and friendly nature might make her a great candidate for Hufflepuff, her creative mind, powerful imagination, and unique way of seeing the world makes her a Ravenclaw through and through.

She writes the most intricate friend fiction, has extensive fantasy sequences of her own creation, and does not change nor censor herself in order to fit in or be seen in a certain way. She is who she is and that makes her the perfect Ravenclaw.

Teddy- Hufflepuff

Teddy is a loyal, trusting, and kind soul. He is always there for his friends when they need them and completely content to simply go along with whatever they have planned for him or need him to do.

Teddy is the kind of person that one can always depend on, no matter what, and will always have your back when you need him. And that is exactly why he belongs in house Hufflepuff: the place where everyone can find a friend.

Linda- Slytherin

Just because someone has been sorted into Slytherin does not mean that they are an evil person. A person can have a heart of pure gold and still be in Slytherin due to the fact that their traits, values, and motivations seem to align better with said houses core values.

Linda is a Slytherin because of her ambition, cunning, and the extreme measures in which she will go to achieve her goals. Her bed and breakfast turned prison and her attempts at dinner theatre are both perfect examples of how far she will go to achieve her goals. Everyone is going to have fun and she does not care if she has to hold them hostage in order to be successful.
