Warning! SPOILERS for The Book of Boba Fett episode 2

The Tusken Raider training Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) could become a major character in The Book of Boba Fett going forward. Having been set up as the tribe's most formidable fighter and its most distinctive member in terms of appearance, this female Tusken could bridge the gap between the flashbacks to Fett's past and the present where he's trying to make a name for himself as a Tatooine crime lord. As such, the theory exists that the Tusken warrior will be revealed to be another mysterious character seen in teasers for the new Disney+ series.

In the first two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, the former bounty hunter has gained the trust of the clan that took him captive after he escaped the maw of the sarlacc pit, an act that ultimately saved his life. Adapting and integrating himself in their ways, Boba Fett has been learning how to wield a traditional Tusken gaffi stick from the female Tusken warrior. Seemingly the clan's biggest authority second only to the tribe's chief, this Tusken warrior has proven herself to be an incredibly capable fighter, having no problem using the new speeders Boba Fett provided as the tribe they took down a train run by spice runners who were attacking their people.

Could this Tusken warrior be more than the average Sand Person? Boba Fett has been accepted into the way of the Tusken Raiders, but perhaps he's not the first. As such, the possibility exists that the female Tusken warrior could also be the mysterious Star Wars character who's yet to be revealed in The Book of Boba Fett, a woman played by actress Sophie Thatcher.

The Book Of Boba Fett Sets Up One Tusken Raider To Be The Most Important

Out of all the other Tusken Raiders in the tribe Boba Fett now belongs to, this formidable female Tusken certainly gets the most screen time out of all the other Sand People. Between teaching Fett to fight with a gaffi stick and backing up the clan during the train heist with some impressive skills, Boba's Tusken trainer has a significant spotlight. As such, it's possible that this could be set up for a larger role down the line in The Book of Boba Fett beyond simply giving viewers a character to gravitate towards during the flashbacks to Fett's life between Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian season 2. Seeing as how it's about five years, it's a fairly long time, allowing Boba to form some strong bonds with the tribe of Sand People. As such, perhaps this Tusken warrior becomes motivated to leave the tribe and follow Boba as he begins his criminal enterprise in the present?

The Book Of Boba Fett Has A Mystery Star Wars Character

Sophie Thatcher plays an unknown role in The Book Of Boba Fett.

Interestingly enough, trailers and promos for The Book of Boba Fett reveal a mystery woman briefly seen riding through Mos Espa on a speeder bike, while also sporting a mechanical arm. Played by Sophie Thatcher, it's been reported that her character will be named Drash and is rumored to be "cool, self-assured and in need of refinement." Other than that, not much is known about her or what role she might play in the new Star Wars series.

Given Boba Fett's evolution as a crime lord with enemies closing in around him, Drash could certainly be yet another foe in opposition to Lord Fett, as he strives to be Tatooine's new daimyo. However, Boba Fett might start seeking out allies of his own after The Book of Boba Fett episode 2, needing some additional support and firepower after Jabba's cousins, known as the Twins, have come to Tatooine, seeking to claim Jabba's palace, throne, and holdings on the desert world that Boba has claimed for himself. As such, Drash could be revealed to be a new ally to Fett, who seems to only have elite mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) and two Garmorean guards backing him up at the present.

Theory: The Female Tusken Raider Is Boba Fett's Mystery (& Main) Character

A tusken raider races a train in Book of Boba Fett

Considering what little is known about the female Tusken Raider warrior and the mystery biker woman from the series trailers, the theory exists that they could one and the same in The Book of Boba Fett. It would certainly provide an intriguing payoff that bridges the gap between the flashbacks to the past and Lord Fett's present. While the mystery Star Wars biker character is seemingly set up in the promos to be important, nothing is known about her. Likewise, with the Tusken warrior playing such an important role in the past, it would be interesting to see her identity revealed to be Sophie Thatcher's character, perhaps having followed a similar path as Boba previously where she was accepted into the Tusken tribe while not being a true Sand Person herself.

This would also pay off the speeder lessons seen in The Book of Boba Fett episode 2, seeing as how the Tusken warrior looks to be just as capable on a speeder bike as the mystery woman seen in the trailers. If the female Tusken warrior is indeed the mystery woman in the episodes to come, she'd become one of the series' main characters and it would make for an interesting relationship arc. After teaching one another and developing a strong bond, Boba Fett leaves the Tusken Raiders to reclaim his armor and become a crime lord. A few years later, they unexpectedly reunite as Lord Fett's new role is being threatened, returning as either a villain or an ally. While this is just conjecture at the present, it would certainly provide a dynamic evolution for a brand new Star Wars character as The Book of Boba Fett continues.
