The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 has received a high-quality fan poster that puts the titular anti-hero among the most iconic Jedi and Bounty Hunters in the Star Wars galaxy. The series, focused on Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett, is the second original live-action TV show in the Star Wars universe following on from The Mandalorian. Fett was revealed to be alive in Disney's Star Wars canon in The Mandalorian season 2. Several key creatives involved in that series, from creator Jon Favreau to composer Ludwig Göransson, have reunited to continue the character's story in The Book of Boba Fett.

Results so far have been mixed, with fans being somewhat unenthused by the early episodes' narrative focus on flashbacks and a somewhat abrupt change in Boba Fett's nature from ruthless bounty hunter to a reserved diplomat. Ironically, fan reception improved in episode 5 when the show drastically moved focus away from Boba Fett to Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin in a manner so sharp that fans took the episode to be the premiere of The Mandalorian season 3 in all but name. This continued into episode 6, when the story focused on other characters and plotlines entirely such as Luke Skywalker training hopeful Jedi, Grogu, with the show's titular lead only appearing in one scene.

Instagram users guiillegfx and renderdriver have collaborated to produce a movie-quality poster for The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 which features a gallery of characters from a galaxy far, far away. The poster utilizes the teal and orange color scheme that has been a recurring trend for blockbuster movie posters in the last decade, with the stark contrast drawing attention to its layout. The characters brought together on the poster are Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Black Krrsantan, Luke Skywalker, Din Djarin, Ahsoka Tano, Marshal Cobb Vanth, Deputy Scott, Cad Bane, R2-D2, and Grogu.

The poster is a visually impressive piece and is another example in a seemingly endless line of fan works that demonstrate the creativity of the Star Wars fan base. The poster does also seem to be indicative of the problem that has troubled The Book of Boba Fett in its most recent episodes, in that the central plotline has almost entirely lost interest in its central character. Indeed, the piece is almost a visual metaphor for how Boba Fett has been obscured by much bigger characters such as Din Djarin, whose antics in episode 5 will presumably be required viewing before The Mandalorian season 3, and the original protagonist of the Star Wars saga, Luke Skywalker.

Ironically, it appears Boba Fett has returned to his function in the original Star Wars trilogy of standing in the background with little agency while more prominent characters steal the spotlight, though this time, in a property where he is meant to take center stage. The Book of Boba Fett may be a worrying indication of things to come for Disney's planned slate of Star Wars shows, in that the producers may not feel entirely confident in a supporting character's ability to justify an entire series and rely on fan service and cameos to keep the show trending. While there are fans who undoubtedly loved seeing a CGI Mark Hamill train the beloved 'Baby Yoda' or Clone Wars alumni, Cad Bane, be brought into live-action, it must be questioned as to how long fan service can prop up interest while the writing suffers. With the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor series set to premiere later in 2022 alongside The Mandalorian season 3, it will be interesting to see whether the Star Wars galaxy is capable of crafting new stories or is only fit to rest on its laurels.
