[The following contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett episode 3]

A new The Book of Boba Fett episode 3 trailer spoils the ending just hours after its release. Classic Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett was revived on The Mandalorian and now stars in his own streaming series on Disney+.

The new Boba Fett of course is not the same as the old Boba Fett as the character has given up pursuing quarries for money and instead taken on the role of a local crime lord on Tatooine (after taking over Jabba the Hutt’s former territory). The Book of Boba Fett also takes time to go back in time and show what happened to Boba after he escaped from the sarlacc, detailing his activities among the Tusken Raiders. Indeed it was during episode 2 that Boba helped the Tuskens deal with a group of train-riding invaders, who turned out to be members of the Pyke Syndicate, spice traders introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The arrival of the Pykes in fact led to fan theories claiming that the syndicate would turn out to be the real big bads of the show.

It appears now that there may be more than a little bit of credence to fan theories that the Pyke Syndicate play a major role on The Book of Boba Fett going forward. Indeed episode 3 teased the coming of all-out war between Boba and the Pykes with its dramatic ending, which has now been spoiled by a new Book of Boba Fett episode 3 trailer posted to social media. There’s already been some big action on The Book of Boba Fett of course, along with the world-building and character-introduction one would expect from a Star Wars Disney+ show. But it seems the action is about to get ramped up even more as the Pykes come back to take down Boba Fett, who has certainly managed to make some powerful enemies during his short time as a player on Tatooine. Thus far, Boba has gotten on the wrong side of Mos Espa mayor Mok Shaiz as well as the twin Hutts who are mad at him for taking over their cousin Jabba’s territory. But the Pykes are a different order of threat as they possess a massive multi-world network and are incredibly powerful as the sole suppliers of spice.

It remains to be seen how Boba Fett deals with this new threat coming his way in the form of the Pyke Syndicate. But it seems certain that the remainder of The Book of Boba Fett season 1 will be loaded with epic battle scenes as well as more jaw-dropping revelations (that hopefully won't get spoiled too quickly).
