Danny Trejo has recently celebrated his new role in The Book of Boba Fett by posting his very own "How It Started vs How It's Going" meme. The Book of Boba Fett is the latest series in the Star Wars universe to begin streaming on Disney+, and just released episode 4. The series follows fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett when he returns to the planet of Tatooine to claim Jaba the Hutt's old turf. The series began streaming in December of 2021 and will release the final The Book of Boba Fett episode 7 on February 9.

Many fans were surprised when a familiar face made an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett episode 3. Trejo appeared in a small cameo role as the Rancor Keeper. In retrospect, perhaps viewers should not have been so shocked, as the episode was directed by Robert Rodriguez. There is hardly a Rodriguez project out there that doesn't feature Trejo in some capacity (though perhaps the most famous is 2010's Machete), and the pair are long-time collaborators. The Book of Boba Fett is releasing new promotional posters all the time, and since Trejo's appearance, his character has even received his own solo poster, hinting that perhaps the Rancor Keeper will return.

It seems that Trejo was quite excited to see himself on a Star Wars poster. After it's release, the actor posted a self-made "How It Started" meme showing his rise from a Star Wars mega-fan to a Book of Boba Fett character. The meme is presented in two images. The first depicting Trejo back in 2016 wearing Stormtrooper pyjamas and holding a machete while watching football playoffs, and the second image is the newly released Book of Boba Fett poster of Trejo's character. Check out the actor's post below:

It's clear that Trejo is very excited be part of the Star Wars universe. What is arguably most impressive is how the two images do actually seem to resemble each other very closely. Both the original photo and Boba Fett character poster show Trejo making almost the exact same face, and he is even standing in almost the same pose with his weapon held across him. It's almost as if Trejo knew back in 2016 what his future would hold. The only thing the poster is missing is a flatscreen TV displaying a football game in the background.

While it is possible that Trejo is just supporting The Book of Boba Fett now that its streaming, his post and the new image does raise the question as to whether Trejo will be making another appearance later in the series. So far, nothing has been announced, but that does not mean that fans have given up hope. While the series has yet to be renewed for season 2, there is still a ways to go before The Book of Boba Fett season 1 wraps up its story. And now that fans have had a taste of a Star Wars version of Trejo, they're unlikely to want to see him disappear any time soon.
