Events in Blue Bloods revolve around New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) and members of his family who are all in the world of law enforcement. The show has been praised by police officers for accurately depicting their work and general life. Here is a ranking of all the 10 finales so far, according to IMDb.

Season 6 - "Blowback" (7.8)

Officer Eric Russell found himself in a major scandal after he shot a teenager who refused to surrender. Even though Russell's body camera proved he wasn't in the wrong, public outrage makes matters worse. Russell's partner later got shot as an act of revenge.

Danny Reagan and Detective Maria Baez linked the crime to a man named Miguel Santanaeven, though they had very little evidence. They then got lucky when a witness came forward. The mayor also planned to resign over the issue but Frank uttered one of his frequent wise quotes to talk him out of it at the last minute.

Season 7 - "The Thin Blue Line" (8.2)

Danny and Baez went all Narcos as they teamed up with a federal agent to track a shipment belonging to a Mexican drug cartel. Danny arrested a cartel member named Pena but got into the FBI's bad books after it turned out he was an informant for them.

Shortly after, cartel members hit back at Danny and bombed his house. Elsewhere, Jamie did his best to track down a serial killer who was preying on elderly citizens. It turned out that a man who was reporting the crimes was actually the killer. His explanation for the killings is that he was simply "ending their pain" because elderly people are generally ill. What?

Season 2 - "Mothers Day" (8.3)

In the Season 2 finale, Frank had another one of his many disagreements with Mayor Poole. After Poole brushed off his advice to alert the public about a terrorist threat, Frank threatened to resign. The police boss felt that the mayor always tried to sabotage his work.

Jamie and Danny got into a fight too, due to Danny constantly refusing to praise and acknowledge Jamie's patrol partner, Sergeant Anthony Renzulli. They soon discovered just how much they miss Joe since he would have been very helpful in times of disagreements, like these.

Season 4 - "Exiles" (8.4)

The episode started with an investigation into the suicide of a woman who jumped from the top of a building. The woman had apparently been charged with prostitution in Atlantic City. But the detectives handling the case didn't like Danny's methods, so they tried to get him off it.

Despite being taken off, Danny continued to investigate the case in an unofficial capacity. Elsewhere, Eddie and Jamie tried to assist a woman who wanted to marry a good-looking Syrian man to prevent him from being deported. Her father, on the other hand, was convinced that she was being used.

Season 3 - "This Way Out" (8.6)

After Vinny got murdered, Mayor Poole set up a town hall meeting but the citizens were hostile. Many complained that the NYPD didn't provide enough security in the projects. When Poole tried to control the crowd, he was shot by a man named Hector, forcing Grace Newhouse to take over as acting mayor while Poole recovered.

Newhouse acted quickly by threatening Frank with dismissal unless he made sure the Bitterman Projects were safe. During interrogation, Hector the shooter revealed that he got the gun from the Los Lordes gang members, who gave him the gun and said it was just a toy that he could point at the mayor to intimidate him. Frank then organized a raid on the projects, leading to the arrest of dozens of Los Lordes gang members.

Season 9 - "Something Blue" (8.7)

Jamie and Eddie’s wedding day was finally here but Eddie and Erin's disagreement almost threatened to ruin the occasion. Elsewhere Danny and Baez investigated the death of a young man. The main suspect was his ex-girlfriend, who was said to have an unhealthy obsession with him.

Season 1 - "The Blue Templar" (8.8)

While trying to uncover the Blue Templar conspiracy, Frank decided to work the case without the Internal Affairs of the NYPD after discovering there were plenty of dirty cops. Jamie then bumps into a woman who was fleeing from kidnappers and quickly finds out that her best friend, Billy, is involved.

Later on, Jamie and Laura began falling for each other and eventually kiss. After gathering enough evidence about the Blue Templar, Frank, accompanied by Danny and Jamie, leads a team to arrest the corrupt officers.

Season 5 - "The Art Of War" (8.9)

Hector had been shot and Curtis was revealed to be the culprit. Curtis escaped just as doctors attempted to save Hector's life. Unfortunately, the doctors were unsuccessful. They also noticed that Linda had been shot so they wheeled her to surgery.

Danny finds out that Curtis shot Hector because the gang had threatened to harm his mother if he didn't. Curtis cooperates with the authorities and gives up another gang member. Danny and Maria later arrest numerous members of a rival gang together with the man Curtis gave up.

Season 8 - "My Aim Is True" (9.1)

Danny and Baez tried to link a series of drive-by murders to the release of six men who were said to have been wrongly convicted. Meanwhile, Frank tried to deal with the immense guilt since it was his own force that put the men behind bars.

Season 10 -"Family Secrets" (9.2)

In the latest season's final episode, Sean Reagan sought to find out who exactly the person he had a DNA match with was. He does some detective work to figure out who this mystery person might be. A concerned mother named Paula Hill, who feared for her son's life, asked Frank to transfer her son, who was a detective in the firearms department, to a safer unit.

In an interesting twist, it turned out the son's father was none other than Joe Reagan. Danny also solved a homicide after finding out that the victim's girlfriend colluded with the murderer. Eddie and Jamie also found an unborn baby and worked on finding the mother.
