Warning! Spoilers for Blue Beetle: Graduation Day by DC Comics

Ahead of Blue Beetle's DCEU debut, Jaime Reyes is about to face off against a potential new villain, as the Yellow Beetle will make their first appearance in an upcoming DC Comics story. In new cover art from Adrián Gutiérrez for Blue Beetle: Graduation Day #2, Blue Beetle faces off against the Yellow Beetle, who holds the hero in the air with just one hand as both character's helmets can be seen overlooking the fight in the background.

Bluecontinueic book adventures will be continuing in Blue Beetle: Graduation Day from Josh Trujillo and Adrián Gutiérrez in a miniseries spinning out of the 2021 DC Comics Round Robin. The series will see Jaime Reyes graduation high school as Blue Beetle encounters new and familiar faces, including the Yellow Beetle. The timing of the new DC Comics series comes with the Blue Beetle live-action film currently in production in the DCEU, where Cobra Kai's Xolo Maridueña will portray the scarab-wearing hero. The solo film will feature Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, who is rumored to be the wife of the original Blue Beetle, Ted Kord.

In a new solicitation for Blue Beetle: Graduation Day #2, Jaime Reyes appears to be in trouble as the new villain (although her official role hasn't been confirmed); the Yellow Beetle, holds him in the air. The Yellow Beetle has pointed horns like a Hercules Beetle, armor that seems medieval and futuristic at the same time, and a scarab attached to her chest.
