Another day, another genius piece of DC Comics fan art from Gabriel Picolo, as the talented artist showcases his take on Blue Beetle, which offers a new spin on the popular hero. On his Twitter account, Picolo shared his art of Jamie Reyes' Blue Beetle, which the artist puts his unique style and spin on. The result is a series of fan art that DC Comics should adapt immediately into a new young adult graphic novel.

Gabriel Picolo is one of the premier talents working at DC Comics, as the Brazillian artist has turned his fan art into a bonafide career with the publisher. Picolo has specifically brought his modern, detailed styled to a series of Teen Titan graphic novels alongside Kami Garcia, including books on Beast Boy, Raven, and the pair together. Garcia and Picolo will team up again for Teen Titans: Robin, which will include their storyline in previous YA graphic novels while expanding their own version of the DC Universe. Thankfully, Picolo's work hasn't taken him away from still doing fan art of different DC Comics heroes, and his latest pieces starring Blue Beetle are an absolute home run.

On his Twitter account, Picolo shared his take on Jamie Reyes' Blue Beetle. The art features Reyes being a teenager, as he takes a selfie, sits down with his skateboard (which appropriately has a beetle on the back), and perhaps the coolest image, Reyes mid-transformation into Blue Beetle as he skateboards down a handrail on a set of stairs. Like most of Picolo's work, the fan art humanizes the superpowered hero while offering a day-in-the-life look at Jamie's Blue Beetle.

Picolo expressed excitement at the upcoming Blue Beetle film in the DCEU while shouting out Brazillian actress Bruna Marquezine, who is set to play Jamie Reyes' (Xolo Maridueña) girlfriend, Penny.

With more than 100,000 likes on Twitter, Picolo expressed gratefulness at the Blue Beetle fan art response, promising to draw more Jamie Reyes in the future. Even Kami Garcia chimed in, saying that while nothing around the character was in the works for their Teen Titan series, "hopefully one day," the pair could tackle the hero.

Obviously, Picolo and Garcia are very busy with their excellent Teen Titan series at DC Comics, but if they ever find the time to include Jamie Reyes in their stories, the fan art proves there's clearly interest in the character. So, for now, enjoy Gabriel Picolo's fantastic fan art of Blue Beetle and hope that one day, the hero gets the his own storyline in the pages of DC Comics from the artist.
