2022 is the Year of the Valiant as readers are about to get three new series from the comic publisher. We can exclusively reveal that Valiant will be publishing three new series, the Book of Shadows, Bloodshot Unleashed, and X-O Manowar Unconquered. The three new titles are set to give fans exactly what they've wanted, as the Valiant Comics shared universe expands and core characters are given the spotlight.
Earlier this year, Valiant Comics revealed the Year of the Valiant, a year-long celebration of the Valiant Universe seeing the publisher bringing back fan-favorite characters, introducing new titles with new creators, and the formation of new superteam within their comic universe. So far, the Year of the Valiant has featured the Deadside War in Shadowman, Faith in The Harbinger, a new Armorclads series in March, and the upcoming return of Archer & Armstrong in a new series coming in May. Now, we can exclusively reveal what's coming next in the Year of the Valiant, which should have both longtime and new readers excited.
The Year of the Valiant will feature three new exciting titles coming to the Valiant Comics Universe. The first is a long-awaited supernatural team-up in the Book of Shadows. Cullen Bunn and Riccardo Latina will write the supernatural event that features a brand-new team. Shadowman, Punk Mambo, Doctor Mirage, and Eternal Warrior will join forces to take on Exarch Fane, a new villain with the Book of Shadows. Bloodshot Unleashed will feature the hero in his first mature series from Deniz Camp, Jon Davis-Hunt, Jordie Bellaire, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. The series will feature the titular character journeying across the United States to stop living weapons who break out of a top-secret facility. The uber-violent series will focus on Bloodshot stopping the living weapons while possibly redeeming them just as he previously was.
X-O Manowar will be starring in X-O Manowar Unconquered, a new series from Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad, and Liam Sharp. The comic will feature the hero encountering a powerful enemy in "uncharted cosmic territory" that will force him to explore his past as he falls into uncertain waters. The sci-fi epic will embrace the character's history while presenting new challenges for the character along the way.
The exciting trio of titles shows Valiant Comics means business in 2022, as the Year of the Valiant is set to be a year worth remembering for the publisher. First, Book of Shadows from Cullen Bunn and Riccardo Latina will release in July. Next, Bloodshot Unleashed from Deniz Camp and John Davis-Hunt arrives in comic book stores in September.
